Amazon order unfilled since early November...

Perhaps (and I say perhaps) that although Amazon could now supply the product it was at a higher price than when you first ordered and Amazon was not prepared to bear the loss. That is business. I understand that it is very annoying and you feel that you have lost out. I hope that you have made that clear to Amazon. As I said before, I have found that speaking directly with their representive have resolved my problems.
As you have now ordered elsewhere you should receive your card by today.

I just have to put in my 2 cents here. Back in November I ordered an item from Amazon. Later that day my wife placed another order (we share the account). The next day I realized I had ordered the wrong size and contacted Amazon. They issued a return label and I re-ordered the correct item. When the first packaged arrived I just stuck the label on the box and shipped it back.
Here’s the cool part, unknown to me the order my wife placed was in that same box. Without any prompting when Amazon received the package they immediately issued a credit for both orders.
We have had several positive transactions with their customer service dept and to date no bad ones. I'm sure at some point, people being people, the train will go off the track but, it will be an outlier.
Amazon is so huge they don’t need to stoop to screwing small customers over for nickels and dimes. Their profits are based on volume and the fastest way to kill that volume is to get a bad reputation.
Useful comment from experience.
