This guy allowed me to be within a few feet ... very very lucky I am :)

So - I picked up a bridge camera (Panasonic FZ200) a few weeks ago ... and been playing with it - takes an awesome shot (f2.8 right thru 600 mm zoom) ... anyways bought some $30 ND 'glass' from Amazon ... to mess with ... once get rid of color cast - the pic came out quite cool?

Gave the crop idea a bit of thought - used a slightly different shot and cropped per your suggestion - aesthetically it is quite pleasing :)

Thank you for lovely and constructive comments ... yes, those are mountains in the background (I guess they part of the same range that Mount Baker (WA) is ... there was not a single cloud in the sky last night ... I picked up the caption (Waning gibbous) from a search on the internet - http://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/canada/vancouver ... they said it's waning gibbous - I am not to clued up on the technicalities and moon naming conventions :)

The Bunzten Power station has been decommissioned for a while - built nearly a hundred years ago ... Indian Arm is our favorite place to swim and boat

Forgot to put the download link to the last one ... so, here's couple more :)
They were fascinating to watch ... they seemed to be living under the rocks (wonder what happens when the tide comes in?)
and one of the weirdest fish I have ever seen snagged on a fishing line (and then set free)

Twin Islands up Indian Arm - looking up the arm from the lighthouse viewpoint ... for absolute ages we have wanted to stop off here to explore but a small jetty to tie up to was always packed (like 3 boats is packed!!) ... anyways we got our turn today cause we put in at Rocky Point at 7:30 am this morning ... early bird gets the worm!

I shot my daughter tubing a while back - grabbed this one and manipulated it a bit for a cool 'jump out at you' (I think we call it perspective :) ) shot ... I am not a great 'photo-shopper' - but I think I got the pic I wanted :) Thanks for looking (DL is pretty cool)
