My camera Canon crop sensor T4i was set at 3/2 and I changed it to 4/3 if making a 8x10 photo to print which of the two would be best to set camera to when wanting to make 8x10's? I prefer borderless when printing 8x10's but hate the cutting off of the paper which is 8.5x11-any ideas or suggestions? Thanks to all who chime in on this.

Sometimes I get error messages from SyncBack, but that hasn't happened in months. That's why I like having three separate backup drives. When I try that backup later, it will work fine. Strange.

You are right about the errors but that is just toooo much for my comfort, I've had years of stuff that got completely demolished because of bad backups that had errors. Now I have 3 different Backup Programs Win 7 Backup, AOMEI Backupper 3.2 Free download, Ease US TODO Backup 9.1 out of these three I am covered no matter what hits me, plus I do the same for Laptop on 3 different external drives. Good luck with SyncBack Have Fun, take lots of photos. I have photos from 1982-2016 on externals.

Like you, I have an external hub with buttons - very convenient. I use SyncBack SE to back up seven folders to them every couple of days. I turn on SyncBack and click on "External." That backs up the seven folders to the drive that is powered. Then I eject the drive, turn it off, and do the same with the second drive.

You can also turn both drives on at the same time and copy whatever you want from one to the other.

Thanks jerry, I had Syncback free for a little while but it started not backing up 12 of the system files in windows, so I excluded them from the backup and it was flawless after that, but the next time it came up with 208 and 306 files it would not backup-they were errors- Syncback went to the Recycle Bin ASAP. That is why I use Win 7 Backup it does what it says it is going to do and I never have any errors. You just can't Restore single files or even a few files separately. you have to Restore the whole thing, that's disappointing but at least I can Restore them. I was trying to find out if I could Copy a backup of Win 7 Backup to my other externals without worrying that the backup would be corrupt since it was Backed up to a different drive in the 1st place. Thanks for your help.

Hello: I have Win 10 and I use Win 7 Backup which is included in Windows, I backup to a 2TB external, I have 3- 2TB externals hooked up via a usb hub, so I can use any 1 I wish at any time just by pushing the power button for each drive. My question: after I do a backup say on 1st usb can I select on that drive all that pertains to the current backup and Copy it to the other drives as a 2nd an 3rd backup, instead of doing a separate backup individually, without any worries?
And do any of you do this and are there any precautions before doing so? Your help is appreciated!

If I do a composite I find that setting the size before I start working on a image helps with the pixilation. If you are taking a small file and making it larger to fit your 5184X3456 sensor size you will always get pixilation. Try resizing your image first (making it smaller to fit you uploaded one) cloning sounds a bit much to me. Good luck!

Thank you for that tip, I learned the hard way and now always re size the download. I always get the largest file size closet to my sensor size so any re sizing up/down is minimal. Finally done with
all the re sizing and making up new pattern sets-two days worth of opening an closing PSE 12 for each set. Now I am ready for 4th of July Parade. Thanks for your help!!

Some of this may be redundent but bare with me as I need all the help I can get!

From my previous post about this problem with making pattern sets I was having multiple tiles in
the background and were small so I had a lot of cloning to do to remove the intersected lines. With the help of UHH an Adobe rep I found from her that my downloads were probably not sized correctly to the size of my sensor which is 5184 X 3456 horizontal, or to the size of a photo I wanted to use a pattern as a BG. Here is my post to her explaining what I found out from her help.

I found the problem, my sensor size is 5184 X 3456 horizontal the opposite for vertical. When I download a image whatever ppi I download they have to be Re sized to my sensor size. This after making them into pattern sets an selecting what I need to fill with pattern fits good, but not always, I still get the Tiles just not small like before. After getting them to fit almost perfect some just need the scale to be raised from 100 to what ever fits best. This is the Best I will ever get it to be. Thanks for your help:) this ends my problem. Finally peace at last. Thanks for everyone’s suggestions, I did get Adobe after much looking for a contact us button finally found one we have been going back an forth for two days. She suggested that the size of the download and the photo I wanted to fill in with were the problem she was RIGHT :) :)
Now I have to delete all the pattern sets I made up an re-do them from scratch, I am going to be busy. Anyone else have anything to add, or maybe an easier way of doing this, I am all Ears LOL!
As others have suggested I do go out an shoot Sky-Sunset-Landscapes-etc., for my self. Thanks!

Thanks to all who have commented and your suggestions they are very appreciated. So far no luck
from pixabay except they seam to think it is a bug in PSE 12. Contacting Adobe will hopefully find
solution an if I do I will let all UHH members know what resolved the issue.

I have been looking for Royalty Free Backgrounds and found many, when viewing them on site it
shows a photo enlarged but only one. So I select my desired size from list and download. I use them as Patterns for backgrounds where the current BG in a photo is rather unpleasing. Now I have all kinds of Patterns and when inserted ( I use PSE 12) into a photo it has from 3-12 smaller tiles
of same photo, so I have to clone out the lines where they intersect-this is a real pain. My question
how to I get only the larger single photo so I will not have to do so much cloning and have a more
consistent background-also is there a setting in PSE 12 that needs to be set to stop this behavior?
Any Help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Hal
P.S. I get these photos from Pixabay.com

At top of page click "windows" (between view and help) and look at first option: images. I see tile, cascade, float all in windows etc. I only have tile open, and I keep my photo bin (at bottom) collapsed from view.

Not sure if this is what you're experiencing.

Thanks very much but Photeach hit the problem on the head. I had checked the box to have floating windows in Preferences/General- I had been getting Rick Peterson tips 1-20 and 1 of them was that-I never unchecked the box before leaving PSE 12 the last time I used it. But thanks for the tip I need help every now and then an UHH always comes through with just the right answer.
I will be finding that PDF of the manual ASAP! Thanks:)

I opened PhotoShop and went to PhotoShop Elements > Preferences > General and made sure that the "allow floating documents in Expert Mode" was not clicked. If it's clicked, they can move all over the place.
I think now is when I should tell you to "Read Your Manual!" like some people do in this forum, but I don't have my panties in a twist enough to do that yet. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much Problem Solved! I had been getting Rick Peterson tips 1-20 five at a time and one
was to use floating windows so you could move them all around, I forgot to uncheck that when I
closed PSE 12 the last time I was in it. Your Right I should have Read the Manual-I downloaded a PDF of the manual I just never see on the desktop, will be finding it soon. Thanks Very Much!!
