Sheet metal covering yes. Actual construction is of wood. You can see the wood in the extreme top left of the structure. Virtually all the old wooden grain elevators were covered in tin or metal to protect the wood. Thanks for looking in Stevey. JackM

No I didn't Stan, but you are correct that these sort of start to look alike after seeing lots of them. I've photographed and posted quite a few, and there are many, many more to be photographed in the midwest, but they all look similar. Tall wooden structure with a head house, and covered in some sort of old metal. Most near some train tracks. JackM
