The last time I was in Sedona I took one of those $75 back country Jeep trips. Don't waste your money if tempted.

As a former GM dealer{Chevrolet},I say go to the dealer. Even then it depends on the knowledge of the person assigned the job and the ability to use testing devises. There might just be a GM bulletin on the problem that the dealer's shop may have.
The Trent Severn Canal is a great trip as well,many photo ops.
Are you sure this is Capital Reef,not another part of your trip? I have been to CR several times,never saw this.
Next time also try the Cumbres and Toltec,not the same views,but also great. Not far from the D&S.

I am thinking about a Canon Powershot SX 730 HS. Look it up,might work out. I now have a Canon G 15 as my carry around camera. Happy with the pictures,seems a bit heavy on need for repairs,Canon warranty useless. G 15 no longer available.
A couple of stories about that bridge that you have probably already heard. Sometimes referred to as "Early grotesque", and said to be a copy of the Hell Gate railroad bridge in New York. I have seen and been over both,think both are great.
