It's a Chevrolet. Don't know the year or model, just the manufacturer.

pretty sure from the hood design it is a 48 or close to that. I have a picture of a 48 Phillips service truck a similar design
somewhere; will try to find it.

From doing a little on-line research it looks to be a '46 Chevrolet 1/2 ton

the license plate is a New Mexico land of enchantment with numbers 39-40 . I wonder if it refers to the year ?

That would be my guess on the vintage too; it looks very similar to an old Studebaker yard truck that our church had for use around the cemetery and grounds. I learned to drive standard shift on it several years before I had a license One thing I do recall was its arm-strong steering.

That insignia on the center grill vertical bar suggests Dodge. The curveyness implies late 1930s.
