LOL, yes it was to keep it from being shot but I don't think this will help and was painted on both sides.

Thanks everyone for taking your time to explain this. The good news is I bought my 60D today and picked it up at a store that had it in stock. Now I have to learn how to use it.

Are you shooting in live view? My 60D is definately soft (inaccurate focus) in live view. Fortunately, it is easy to correct by magnifying the image and using manual focus. Then it is amazingly sharp because the mirror is locked up in live view.

In conventional view, it provides accurate focus with all lenses.

I don't currently own the camera yet but while reviewing it I ran across this discussion about a soft focus issue on this camera. I'm getting ready to purchase this camera today since I know longer have this concern thanks to Dria and yourself. I appreciate your input.

Thanks again for this info. I'm off to purchase my new 60D this morning, but of course it is on back-order but I like the sale price on it.

One more question is what memory card do you like to use with this camera? The sales person says the sandisk extreme 16 GB on sale for $37.99 which is supposed to be compatible with this camera but the reviews on it are not so good. I believe I'm looking for a 16 GB 10 speed card.

LSU man---I only have two words: ROLL TIDE!!! :)

Ha ha ha.. That belongs in a whole different forum and could go on forever. I'll let this year's history speak for itself. No words are needed just show up. BTW they may want to find a better field goal kicker.

I'll keep this subject matter to photography. Also, I hope you enjoy the game. I know I will.

Awesome. Wish I could "pet" some of the deer that come into my yard!

Just so you know this deer was raised from a baby in the wild. It would always visit for a free meal.

I did not take these but I though a few of you would enjoy seeing these. Not everyone has a pet deer in there neck of the country. The black haired girl is my niece.

The 70 300 looks to have USM and several hundred dollars more so I expect it to be much better.

I have read on other forums where some people have soft focusing issues with the 60D and had to send the camera back for adjustments. Anyone here have any knowledge regarding this? Jusst Google the subject. Is this just a bad batch?

These pictures are very good. I can't wait to buy my camera. Any pictures with the 75-300mm lenses?

I am also new to DSLR and currently looking at purchasing a Canon 60D with the 18-135mm kit lens. I am going to want something like your EF 75-300 mm f/4-5.6III lens in the future. So if you would let me know how you like it and maybe post a few pics with it then that would be awesome. Have fun!!
