That is the key staement I was addressing in her post.
The Sling concept of the LowePro is Ingenious no mater which one fits your current or future needs

I had the Slingshot 202 AW and outgrew it in a heartbeat.
Sold it and got the Slingshot 350 AW, Nikon D600, 7 lenses, Flash, Gels, Remotes, Batteries, Battery shoe, 15 Filters, 4 Lens Hoods, Cleaning Kit, Cables, Caps, Computer (15.6")
and More.
I can unstrap, flip it up, unload and Shoot in Auto in 3 Seconds.

Her primary emphasis will be on still photography for publication quality shots
I would recogmend the Nikon D610 it's the grown-up version of the D7100 with all the features and the Full Frame Sensor.
It is a much better set-up for her Photography & Video needs that you describe.

Just my limited guess but the DX lenses are sharp on my D5300 and the FX lenses are sharp on the D600 the Nikon 28-300m works well on both. I have the Tamron SP 17-50mm f/2.8 VC and I think I can fine tune it on the D600??? Not sure how to do it, lots of reading to do yet.
What exactly is 1 stop or 2 stops if I am shooting at f/10???
1. Should I invest in a Split Screen for my Nikon D600 for shooting with 600mm & 1000mm manual Lenses. It is really hard to get good focus with the standard Focus Screen
2. Which is the better Lens Nikon 1000mm Mirror or the
MC MTO-11CA 10/1000 MIRROR RUSSIAN LENS
It's real nice we have all that Professional gear but He is real proud
of His Nikon D5100. I was too when I had mine.
"Digital zoom is accomplished by cropping an image down to a centered area with the same aspect ratio as the original . . . It is accomplished electronically, with no adjustment of the camera's optics, and no optical resolution is gained in the process. This enlargement of the pixels also creates a pixelated/mosaic effect in the image."
He is using a Digital SLR not a Coolpix Point & Shoot.
Cool thank you very much I'll go give it a try right now

Yes I would like to know more about the AF Macro Tubes I bought a set (in my budget).
Craig
The Lens AF works super in View Mode but not at all in Live View on my Nikon D5300. Everyting works great on a Nikon D5200.
"Sigma will update the older lenses for free if you ship it to them and request the compatibility upgrade".
I bought this lens second hand with no receipt except PayPal.Can I still send the Lens for free Update???
Craig
How do I get this Lens to work in Live View on my Nikon D5300???
Craig
Speaking of Filters: My picture quality jumped in proportion too the quality of the Glass I put in front of the Glass.
