What is your opinion of the Lowepro Slingshot 202 AW? I just purchased one and I still haven't decided my opinion..I have a Nikon with 70-300, 18-55, and 50mm..so far..plenty of room but not sure of the sling concept..
My only gripe with it is that it has no place for a laptop, otherwise I like it. I carry a Nikon D3000 an 18-105, 55-200, 35, a Sony DSC-H2, memory cards, cleaning kit, & tripod and have no problems with any of it.
I have a smaller bag that will hold an ipad but it isn't big enough for much else..which bag in you opinion is the best that will carry a laptop? Not too expensive though!

You have just hit the conundrum. The words best for a laptop and cheap do not coincide. For me the Lowepro Vertex 200 AW would probably work, but I am too cheap to spend the money for it right now.
I was just looking online and possibly the Lowepro Fastpack 350 will work..best Buy has it on sale too!!
I just looked at the Vertex 200...it is awesome, but like you, I don't want to spend that much now..

The price is such that I would buy it today if a Best Buy in Tucson had one. I will not buy one without being able to physically see, touch, & feel it.
We have a Best Buy but I dont believe it is an in stock item...I can return it if I need to tho...being female I'm considering the Urban Reporter 350 too...
The Kata Digital Rucksack series of backpacks are decent enough. I fit a 15" laptop along with a D7000 fitted with a lens and there's still room for a couple lenses and a flash and misc small gear. Then there's the top compartment for a jacket or lunch or whatever. It's also got an external pocket for a monopod or (maybe) a small tripod.
I have a Lowepro 350 for travel.

For the amount of gear you have, the Lowepro Fastpack 350 is huge.
David, which 350? I have looked at so many today...
I know the bag is big for the amount of gear that I have but I still want a lens or two and I want a bag large enough to carry my camera with my 70-300 attached...

The FastPack 350 is designed to hold a 70-200mm f/2.8 mounted on a pro-level DSLR. This would be about 3" longer than your setup. The bag is quite wide, making it somewhat cumbersome. It is wide because only half of the bag is designed for camera equipment, the top half is for other "stuff", and it's angled so it is less efficient for that use.
I havent been able to find one in the store..so I dont know how big they actually are..I just purchased the Slingshot 202 AW ..just not sure that I like the bag and I cant put an ipad or laptop in it.
