I had a mustache and beard from the time I exited the Navy (1973) until 1991 when I shaved the beard but left the mustache which came off 3 or 4 years later. During Covid I grew both back and have kept them.

Dannyj,

Isn't it funny,2 pages and no one talked about what it's real reason is, to give "Thanks".

So what is the real reason to give thanks, because there are no more wars or because all of our politicians are honest and trustworthy and there are no more poor or homeless people, or that everything is getting more affordable for us non rich people, or the planet is healthy and in no danger of slowing dying, or that big corporations are no longer greedy and that they promote truth in advertising, and wealth and health for all, or that everyone has finally realized that we are all created equal no matter the color of our skin or that in this enlightened day and age there are no more children dying from lack of food to eat, etc., etc.? Sure you can give thanks for your own personal blessings if you feel you have them but what about thinking about the millions people that have nothing to be thankful for.

I have found over the years that a lot of my guests aren't crazy about turkey.
So then I switched to ducks...which was a lot more work and a worse reception.
Goose did better...but still.

Finally for about a decade now I just have a big assortment of meats and cheeses and wines from all over the world...food no one has tried yet.
Yes it's more expensive but everyone is excited...and overweight.

If it's just the two of us...smoked pheasant is a given.

Over the years we got tired of turkey as well so now we only have honey baked ham if it's just immediate family. If we have a couple of friends over I just buy a large boneless turkey breast.

A lot of folks complain about the time involved in preparing the annual Thanksgiving family feast. I think putting out a bowl of these along with a bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy for dipping should cut down the work considerably!

Even easier Thanksgiving meal... It has all the traditional ingredients including turkey and gravy!

They are all excellent. Of the first 3 I like the closer off center the best.

Google drive. I just uploaded many gigabytes of photos to Google drive to send to my daughter. Google drive is free to anyone with a google account, i.e., Google email address which is also free. Many of your receivers probably already have this and the ones who don't could get a free email account just to get it.

What's wrong with CTRL+C?

Yes, in every version of windows I've owned since the 1990s CTRL+C works for copy, CTRL+V works for paste and CTRL+X works for delete.

This feature, aside from Old Faithfull and the lower falls, is probably the most photographed one in the Park. Your shots here rank with the best I've seen. Great work.

Thank you very much for the nice comment!

I have more albums by him than any other artist. I liked the easy lyrics and the Caribbean-style music he made. When I lived in Charleston, SC, I planned each year to go to Carowinds Amusement Park on the NC/SC border to see one of his concerts -- I never made it. About ten years ago he played at Hershey Park which is about two hours from my house in PA and my daughter gifted me a ticket for the concert. He didn't disappoint. There was a warm-up group from Florida and then Allen Jackson performed for about forty-five minutes before Buffett came on. When he did the song "It's 5 O'clock Somewhere", Jimmy came on stage and joined in as they did on the recording. I'm glad to have been able to see Jimmy --- he was one of a kind.

Likewise, I nearly have every album he made. He will be missed. Sail away Jimmy!
