My son, a veteran, says that while he disagrees with kneeling during the anthem, he fought for their right to protest. If you go beyond just the images, you'll see that these players are protesting racism more than anything else. These same players and many others in the sports world work with veterans groups, in the community, and with the police across the country. Racism and the denial of a person's right to protest are forms of tyranny. They wanted to start a conversation and it looks like it's working.
I think my son saId it just right.
I have bought from B&H and also spoke with staff. Very pleased! And much better than Adorama and KEH even though both are pretty good in their own right.
I went to one of the last retailers in Washington DC and had a wonderful experience. The sales folks were very helpful but not pushy. I had to return a used lens I bought expecting to get a lot of grief. Quite the opposite result!
Local retailers can't compete with online stores in terms of inventory but District Camera certainly excelled at service. I'll go back there when I need to actually speak with a real person.
Outstanding captures. I like visiting the Hook .
Fantastic images. She's amazing! Well done!
I've always wanted to go. ... And thanks to these terrific images, I want to visit even more...
Lots of different opinions, all good in their own right. I have decided to see what fits in my backpack and doesn't weigh me down too much. Available space and any excessive weight dictates. I have elected to bring my ultra wide, medium, and long zooms as well as my 85mm, and the tubes. The 50mm stays home since it's redundant. I fit everything in a Tenda which fits inside my backpack while providing room for a tripod, raincoat, snacks, and water bottle.
Not bad! Thanks all!
I will be leaving for a 3 week trip to Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico in several weeks. To those who have traveled to this part of the country, is there a compelling reason to bring my extension tubes for close up photography ? I am trying to pare down my equipment to the essentials yet remain as flexible as possible. I wonder if these should be considered essential gear.
I have a reasonable selection of lenses, extra sd cards, additional battery, a tripod, a monopod, filters, laptop, and external hard drive. Am I missing anything?
I'm sure there are many of you who have made a trip to these areas and can weigh in with your experiences.
This may be a rather silly question but is there a discernable difference between these 2 filters? FYI, I shoot almost exclusively outdoors and use a Nikon d7100. Both are priced about the same and their descriptions are similar. Am I missing something?

Thank you! I had just sat down withe my manual

Thank you! I'll do that as well. I appreciate the tip

Err.... You are aware that many newer cameras now offer a mirror image save so that you have two copies of the same thing, one in each card, regardless of format?
Thanks! I'll check this out!
I have the Nikon d7100. I am also thinking of using both RAW and JPEG. Reason, my upcoming trip will be almost a month long and it'll be months before I can do processing. In the meantime, I can share JPEGs.
Question- in saving both formats on the SD cards, does the camera save RAW images on card 1 and JPEG on card 2 or are they stacked?
Thanks everyone! I kind of figured it would update but wanted to verify with you knowledgeable folks.
