I am a retired Info Tech geek and have used Dropbox since its inception. My use of it has evolved from simple file storage to a shared environment with my wife, who is a clinical social worker with TONS of documents etc., in addition to personal photos. She is a Luddite and even she finds Dropbox simple to use.

It's power comes from it's seamless integration into any filing system DNA. I have not found another product to match it.

I have a Dell G7 7588. No problem with bloatware. I may have also reformatted when I switched out the m.2 NVMe drive to a far faster, and 4 times larger one, but I don't recall.

That said, it's shouldn't be hard to remove anything you don't want or like in Add/Remove programs.

I could not agree more. I hated Dell laptops during my 30+ year IT career (busted hinges, etc., etc.)... until I got my first Dell G7 and now I have two.

I use my Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2. I like the focal length range and the stability of f/2.8 throughout.

I am a rank amateur and don't have a big budget for a lot of kit. I feel that, for the money, this is a terrific general purpose lens and it works very well with my 80D for Zoom webcam sessions.

My Canon 80D works great as a webcam; been using it as such for months. I do use the Canon software which works flawlessly with Zoom.

I mostly agree with newguygeorge. Custom high powered Windows machine similar to the gaming machines that are available. Nvidia high end GPU, 32GB RAM. Dual large SSD's and a ViewSonic Elite XG270 monitor. (Be sure it is well ventilated.)

The reason for the Viewsonic is to help keep close to your budget. It's excellent.

I am seeking a full set of Canon 055-H cartridges with chips intact for my Canon Pro 100 printer.

I need to print a series of photos as inexpensively as I can and need the ability to monitor the toner levels.

Don't judge me. :-)

Willing to pay a charge plus shipping.

There was a rumor that he wanted to start a ladies' lingerie line. It failed when Shatner Panties were introduced.

This old IT guy goes with Western Digital. Overall excellent reliability.

But ANY HDD can fail, and will, eventually, fail. Get two and keep one as a backup.

I recommend SyncBackFree for free, simple backup and / or synching if you are using Windows.

You asked for help in: (2) understanding the head - to - clamp - to - plate calculus. I gave you information about that. The Really Right Stuff plate you purchased was made to the standard shown in the RRS blueprint. You could determine if other plates would work by making measurements.

Yes, I appreciate that very much. Some of my initial confusion came from my first purchase being the Vanguard setup and not even knowing what kind of clamp it had on it. It has been a winding road trying to figure it out.

The dovetails on your Vanguard SBH-100 do not appear to be the Arca-Swiss standard. The Vanguard SBH-300 and TBH-300 recommended by MT Shooter do appear to be 45 degree Arca-Swiss dovetails.

Really Right Stuff publishes a blueprint for their Arca-Swiss design on their website. Most manufactures adhere to this standard. I made my own Arca-Swiss plate in a machine shop and used their design. The dovetails are measured by laying 3/32" (.093) diameter pins into the dovetail grooves and measuring across them with calipers. There are variations in the depth of the dovetail grooves but the clamp will have enough travel to compensate for these variations.

The second tripod will be used for product photography using a small light box.

I would like to keep the total cost under $100. I don't need a pro-level kit.

My current tripod is a Vanguard Alto Pro 264AT. The head on it is a Vanguard SBH-100.

I really wish someone could explain to me in simple terms how in heck to figure out how to match up tripods to heads to plates. I have no idea what kind of clamp comes on the Vanguard SBH-100 head but whatever it is it's not compatible with my 37mm Arca Swiss plate. I bought a Wimberley C-12 Quick-Release Clamp and converted it to fit.

I don't want to have to go through that again. Removing the BH-100 clamp required a vise and a hammer.

So, maybe someone here can assist me in (1) finding a budget priced arca swiss compatible tripod / head combo and (2) understanding the head - to - clamp - to - plate calculus.
