Please post the link where Nikon has posted lenses that "WILL WORK" on the D850". Before you do, make sure that it isn't a list that Nikon has put out that is SUGGESTING lenses to be used on the D850 to get the absolute best results from this camera. Where is the lie?

As I said, Steve Perry has the list; just go to his D850 review.

And the worst part is the guy they send around to hold a gun to your head until you buy.

Suppose Nikon refused to tell you which lenses would work best with the D850, and you had to keep buying and trying till you got a good one? They probably figure that someone who spends $3,300 for a camera will want the best lenses he can get. The links below show what lenses online writers recommend. I'm glad to see my 28-300mm recommended.

And Nikon's list -

Nikon makes cameras, and Nikon makes lenses.
If they sell enough of each, they can all buy Mercedes Benzes.
And the worst part is the guy they send around to ... (show quote)

Jerry, if the 28-300 is on the list, then so should every lens in their professional lens line. Like I said, that list of lenses has so much dinosaur poop on it, it's disgusting.

I just read on a car forum that a guy "flipped" his brake pads right and left to even out the wear. I don't know if he mean swapping inner and outer pads or left and right sides of the car. This seems like a really bad idea. The pads seat themselves to the surface of the disc, so moving them to a new location won't give total contact for quite a few miles.

Have any of you ever heard of this?

The worst part of this is that this idiot breeds!

Hi all, I am headed on a backpacking trip and do not really want to carry my 70-200mm 2.8. Do any of you recommend the f/4 version? Is there a considerable amount of quality loss? Thanks I value you opinions. The salesmen just want to sell lenses..

May I recommend a used nikon 70-210mm f4.0 AF lens. Bear in mind that this lens will not auto focus on any D3000 or D5000 series cameras. It is a sleeper but a goodie and KEH has one in EX condition for around $200; a steal for this lens.

I have a D850. Look at my lens lineup. I have used everyone of them with my D850. I had a night shoot last evening and I used the Sigma 135 f/1.8 with an ISO setting of 2000 and I'm extremely happy with the results. I consider your rant hogwash.

You just agreed and gave evidence backing up what I said; then you call me hog wash???

BoB;

You are one of the few that have posted B & W photos that are not way over exaggerated in contrast. Your's is contrasty but done correctly as you say by keeping details in the highlights and shadows. I suspect you have been printing B & W for a long time. A job well done!

Sell it here first. If it doesn't sell then try other sources. Why not give a fellow hogger first shot at them?
