Budget under $2,000. Suggestions? I already own a Nikon D5500 with an 18-140 lens, not good for birding. And a Canon SX60, which hunts continuously for a bird in a tree. Thanks!

Here is an option to consider. You already own the D5500 which has a 24MP crop sensor that surely performs. The downside is that the D5500 is missing the auto focus fine tune option. The up side to using the D5500 is its low weight. Now combine your camera with the Sigma 150-600mm C which can be fine tuned via the Sigma dock and total weight comes in at just 5-1/2 lbs with the tripod collar removed. So, for the price of the lens ($989) and the price of the dock ($59) you would now have the lightest 24MP crop sensor birding kit.

Admittedly, it is not up to the D500 for focusing and very low light work, but is just as capable as the D7200 while being the lightest of the bunch.

[quote=jeep_daddy]I think you should post an example of what you're talking about. quote]

Here is one posting with more than one instance of other members tainting with their opinion. http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-459155-1.html

Too bad you cannot stay out of other's business, maybe someday you will see the light. Do you honestly believe that others need you to guide them through life?

I have noticed that with some regularity there are members here who make a choice to enter "For Sale" threads with their "opinions" concerning the item or items listed. I am wondering if it is an intentional poke to bring the asking price down, just to be a sloppy turd, or utter ignorance.

Whether a person knows it or not, their post causes a tainting to the post and lessens the members chance at making a sale.

It is my opinion that a buyer should do their homework when shopping for anything, and, for the seller to be forthright and honest.

I believe that someone with no skin in the game is behaving dishonorably when injecting their opinion into the thread.

Perfectly good system for PP work, but as an aside, why would you stripe 2 SSDs as RAID 0?

Hello TriX, When seeking advice for a photo editing system, I was advised to go with a gaming computer. I trusted the builder and agreed to let them do as they thought best.

Your logic is sound and I cannot argue your point. To me the raid is just one drive and treated as such, meaning weekly backups and whatever restore points deemed necessary. My plans if one failed were to replace both drives with a larger single drive and load the backup. The raid performs very well as built.

Thank you for your interest in this ad. But I do have to ask. What do you do with your images once captured? A photographers editing system for sale here shows no disrespect to the Admin or anyone who dabbles in this hobby or profession.

This is listed here because it is a computer well suited for image editing. Lightroom and Photoshop require high speed cpu's, Intel's i7 line is consider by many to be the sweet spot processor for such tasks. This particular unit is both high frequency and has hyper-thread technology. Four cores with eight threads is well suited for anyone interested in a speedy post processing workflow.

Computer for sale-----$1200 delivered to lower 48 States

This system was over $2000 at new. You can see in the items listed that the main drive is set in raid zero, two solid state Samsung drives. Paired with the hyperthread capabilities of the i7 processor, this is a very capable rig when using Adobe imaging software. The Dell monitor tested a few points above 100% sRGB.

This unit is 2 years old, was built to gaming standards and resided in a non-smoking home.

Included components:

Cooler Master N200 mini-tower computer case
Asus Z97M Plus microATX motherboard, includes one M.2 drive connector on board (with the raid system drive, the M.2 drive can only be used as storage)
Intel i7-4770K CPU w/fan
Evga GTX 760 SC ACX 2GB GPU
2 x Samsung 250GB SSD = 500GB in Raid 0
HP dvd1265 optical drive
16GB Ram - 4 x 4 Corsair Vengeance LP DDR3 16000
Evga 600B 80+ Bronze power supply
IOgear USB 3.1 gen 2 pcie card -- two type-C ports
Dell U2415 monitor 1920x1200 resolution
Windows 10 - installed and activated (cannot be transferred, it is an oem version)
Microsoft Office Pro Plus 2013 - installed and activated (cannot be transferred as I have done previously and Microsoft will not support any more transfers)

Both the Windows 10 and Office 2013 are legitimately purchased. The case dimensions are: 15" tall x 7.5" wide x 17" long'

Is it possible that you had the body mounted to a tripod and the head swiveled over during the exposure? Sometimes they drop in a hurry.

There are various ways to collect images. Is tattoo collecting drastically different from photograph collecting? A few links below:

Somehow, we got convinced that men don't have to shave before going out somewhere special. There are special electric razors that let men shave, but leave enough stubble behind to look the way they do. Does anyone else think this is ridiculous?

Agreed.

Although having 5 o'clock shadow doesn't meet the standards that many of us old farts grew up with, there are many, many more important standards that have been discarded by young people.

Is that Capture a plugin?

No, Capture is editing software. The focus point option is imbedded in the Nikon programs.
