For sale is this nearly new (like 2 weeks) D500 w/Grip and other items. U.S. model. $1950 delivered to the continental U.S.

Included items are everything that comes with the D500 in the box. Same with the grip which has not been used or even mounted. These two Nikon products have not been registered with Nikon and do include the warranty registration cards, you will have rights to the full warranty that Nikon includes with this camera and battery grip. The D500 has less than 400 shutter clicks. All of these items are in new condition and have not been dropped or damaged in any way. All are legitimately purchased by me.

1-Body and cap
1-MB-D17 Battery Grip
1-Nikon battery
1-Charger
1-Strap
1-USB cable
2-Cable clips
2-User manuals
1-Lexar Professional 2933x 32gb QXD card w/reader
1-Vello LCD protector (static adhesion)

Why did you mark out the serial number?

I'm questioning that myself.

For anyone who has serious interest, please feel free to contact me through the private message feature.

The reasoning for blacking out the serial number of an unregistered Nikon camera prevents someone without morals from registering the camera in their name and creating an issue for me and the buyer.

I am selling this camera because that is what I choose to do.

Now I have a question. Why do you feel the need to create negativity within someone's for sale posting?

I don't think their questions were unreasonable in light of how short a period you've owned the camera as well as the hiding of the serial number. I'm quite sure that nearly everyone reading your post will feel the same.

If you registered the camera, it is a simple matter to delete the owner ship of that camera, thus allowing the new owner to register the camera. I've done that several times with no problem. I believe, but can't prove, that Nikon database will flag duplicate numbers.

That is a good point. However, that does not eliminate possible issues with the new bonafide owner if a turd has hijacked and registered that serial number.

Just to be clear, the label on the body of this camera was not blacked out, just the image was painted over in pp software.

If a "turd" hijacked the serial number, it would do him/her no good as they would not have the camera.
I personally would not purchase a camera without knowing the serial number and it is the first thing I want to see. Repost the pic with the serial number shown and somebody might buy it. BTW, I own a D500.

So, you are saying that if someone claims the camera is theirs by registering the number and later down the road the holder of the camera sends it to Nikon for service there will be no issues?

Bottom line is this, I masked out the number for the reason I stated. If that doesn't fit your life, ok.

Gotta love this site's buy/sell/trade section. Go through the ads posted and see how many are sent off course or tainted by members who have no intention of making a purchase.

Thank you for your interest in this ad.

Would you sell the grip separately?

You are right. Many suspicious people just waiting to prove someone is trying to take advantage of them and then there are the ones who think everything should be sold at rock bottom prices for them and are quick to point out where you can find the item cheaper. I don't see that happening at other sites. Folks if you don't like the price or item for sale simply move on.

Actually, T Span makes a very good point...if you see a camera for sale with the serial no. blacked out, just buy it and don't ask questions.
