New member. This was taken in Costa Rica in 2006. Just trying out the posting section. Appreciate any comments, criticisms, tips.

Nice color. BIG poison glands! Have to love Costa Rica's diversity. I would suggest you use the DOWNLOAD option. Allows greater clarity.

I went there two years ago for 2 days on the Photographer tour. 1st day I used my 24-70 F2.8 on a FF camera, second day I used a 14mm Rokinon F2.8. Since I used a tripod, I also was shooting 3 exposure HDR's. I like the photos shot with the 14mm lens the best. Try to include the floor of the canyon. Don't change lenses in the canyon. I also added a photo of the non Photographer tour. If you decide to save some money, this is what you will get.

You provide strong incentive for the photographer tour!

I was drawn to these past-prime flowers in the garden and when I enlarged them on the screen, I could see why I was so taken with them. Independence Day (July 4) is my favorite holiday and I love the fireworks at night, the colors against the dark sky. These flowers allowed me to think of that kind of joy!

Love your creativity! Beautiful.

Went out for my morning walk to day looking for birds at the pond. Pretty quiet except for this friendly little duck that was willing to pose for a closeup.

View in the DOWNLOAD is suggested.

Another nice shot, Phil!

On the 4th I set up and shot a fireworks show. This was my first attempt so I wasn't expecting much. I just thought I would share some shots with the hogs and open myself up for some, hopefully, constructive criticism. I shot with my Nikon D3200 set on "time" and used a wireless remote to control shutter. My aperture was set to f/14. Focus set to infinity. I don't think the shots are that bad but........well y'all tell me.

These are great. Gives me a new up-close appreciation for the complex composition of fireworks. Exceptional. Thanks for sharing!
