Part of me wants to say my Pentax 6x7 for which I have a number of lenses (all Takumar/Pentax and all prime) because it is such a beast and it's IQ is stunning. Part of me wants to say my Bronica ETRSi because of its ergonomics and my number of Zenza prime lenses for it, and it's got the 3:2 aspect and it's compact and still has MF qualities. But I have to go with my newest acquisition, a camera that I, as an original Nikon F user in the '70s, have longed for since it came out— arguably the best (or at least the most technologically advanced) 35mm SLR ever built, the Nikon F6. I came to it with a small army of newer Nikkor FX lenses and classic legacy glass (some autofocus and the rest at least AI). I've noticed a lot of Hoggs love the Nikon DF because it's a digital with the feel and look of a classic film SLR. The F6 is the corollary: a film camera with the look and feel of a DSLR. I use it aperture priority or full manual. It is as automated otherwise as my D7100. When I want a lighter weight SLR with most of the same lenses I go to my Nikon FE. Attached is an iPhone picture of the F6 and 2 recent Ektachromes taken with the F6. Processing and scanning by thedarkroom.com. Very minimal processing in Affinity Photo.

drmike99 - I really like the color and composition of your second image. Well done! /Ralph

Where is the OP? Did any of you folks notice that the OP disappeared right after posting a question at 4:45pm that you have been so busy debating?🤣

I'd just like some opinion from those who have shot both mirror and mirrorless cameras. Pros and cons of each. Thanks.

Shel - It would help us to know what specific issue you are most concerned about? Have you tried hands on shooting with either type? Have you read a strongly adverse opinion regarding either that put you off OR one that sounded like it might not be true? Have you spoken with a reliable camera dealer about both types, perhaps a dealer who might let you hold both in your hands? Considering specific models of either or both? Have you watched reviews of both on YouTube or DPReview?

I am looking to convert my gear to lever clamps, and discovered to my chagrin that my Markins and Arca-Swiss ball heads have their screw clamps permanently attached. So, i am looking for an RRS BH-55 or similar quality ball head that sports a lever clamp, either as original equipment or user-added. I would also like to purchase at least one RRS or Markins lever clamps for use with my other (convertible) ball heads.

I thought I was clever when I bought an RRS lever clamp ball head, but then I discovered how such clamps stick out and have a habit of catching on my camera strap, clothing and other things in my immediate environment. I went back to RRS screw clamps.

I wish Adobe would use a clearer naming scheme to quickly differentiate between LR Classic CC (1/2 of the Photography bundle with PS) which I have on my laptop and LR CC which I have on my tablet. Maybe they could name LR CC “bojax”.🤓

Yes - there are many aspects to lighting - one important consideration is where the light needs to come from - West or East, or sun up or sun set. More than one trip might be necessary. A great shot can, on further visits, become even better.

I agree with UHH member, Delderby. 👍🏼

I don't have one but I like small messenger bags so I looked it up and on the Vanguard site and in one of the photos it looks like the strap is sewn on so probably not removable. Looks like a nice small bag though.

Thanks for responding, tomad. There is always the option of scissors.🤓

This topic was not an ad for Vanguard. I have no financial interest in any responses. I recently bought a small VEO Range messenger bag. While I’m waiting for the bag to be delivered, I thought I’d see if any other UHH members had tried one and ask what they thought.

Does anyone have this small camera bag? Is the shoulder strap removable?
Any opinions or comments pro or con would be welcome.
