Ahh, yes, one more of those self-righteous, judgmental, chest-beating, phony christian types, who uses their own perverted idiosyncratic version of "christianity" as a dark cover for their own bigotry, ignorance and shortcomings. Why is it that they consistently fail to understand - much less attempt to practice - that one singular commandment from Jesus: "That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another (John 13:34). I've met many of you in the evangelical and fundamental churches of my youth, hypocrites gleefully condemning others with little concern for "the log in their own eye" (Matthew 7:3). Let me put this to you, sunshine, in the most straight-forward manner possible. You are free to believe whatever you wish and spout your pathetic dribble but in this country the likes of you and your disgusting ilk don't get to define my patriotism nor disparage my spirituality - or lack of it. As far as I'm concerned, you can take your pseudo-christian BS and stick it up your sanctimonious arse. Should there be a god, I can well imagine that he/she/it is as disgusted at your pathetic, self-serving congratulatory behavior as I am.
Ahh, yes, one more of those self-righteous, judgme... (show quote)

Do you think you are judgemental??

Thanks. Vermont seems to get all the ink. I know upstate NY is also beautiful. Of course, we all know Upstate, NY starts just north of Manhatten.

Thank you. I would suggest you not be so anal. You are acting very small and petty.

Ok, how about the Christians in Ethiopia? They do their share of killing "heathens."

And no, the Holy Trinity is not the same as a Chevy Bel Air versus Chevy Impala versus Chevy Biscayne. Phew, what a stretch! Gee, that makes God the Father be the Bel Air and subservient to the Impala! Not sure he likes that.

And something I saw lately, saying you're a Christian because you go to church is like saying you're a car because you're standing in a garage.

The issue was the swing out LCD display, NOT FOCUS STACKING! Read the whole string from the beginning before you comment.

Also, it is "middleground" not "middle ground", "ahead" not "a head" and "without" not "with out".

You made your point. No need to become petty.

Here's something to consider. The trinity is a concept central to Christianity, is it not? One god, just one, but 3 facets so to speak. The father, the son, and the holy ghost/spirit are one in the same, are they not? You can say Jesus, God the Father, or the Holy Spirit and you're referring to the exact EXACT same entity. Now then, the god of Judaism is the same as God the Father of Christianity is the same as Jesus. Or else you toss out the trinity concept. And Allah is the same as the Jewish Abrahamic god and therefore the same as Jesus and the Holy Spirit, or else you throw out the trinity concept. Therefore, if you accept the trinity, you should consider all Jews and Muslims to be Christian.

Just 3 different ways to worship. Consider all the wars fought in Europe between Protestant and Catholics, the Spanish and other inquisitions before you condemn any religion as being more violent than yours. The Salem witch trials and on and on and on. All in the name of god.
Here's something to consider. The trinity is a con... (show quote)

Well, the first paragraph was quite the ramble. The second deals with things in the distant past. No mention of muslim terrorists that are currently active killing innocent people while praising God.

Thank you. I have checked with CR and now I wanted to hear from users. Always looking for more info.

Never hurts. BUT....Isn't there always a;but. CR has no stake in what they buy. An individual owner is married to their purchase and is biased. Not too often are you going to hear...Boy did I make a mistake?

Yes, Kate became identified with that song.

"God Bless America" came in for it's share of criticism, though. No good deed goes unpunished.

"The song wasn’t without its critics. Certain Democrats called the song jingoistic, questioning why God should bless America and no other country, and what about separation of church and state? Others griped about Berlin’s pedigree. As a Russian Jew who immigrated to the U.S. in 1893, why should he speak for America? A prominent pastor in New York, Edgar Franklin Romig, grabbed headlines by calling the song a “specious substitute for religion.

"One songwriter who didn’t like Berlin’s anthem was Woody Guthrie. It’s said that he got so fed up with hearing Kate Smith on the radio, he wrote a rebuttal in “This Land Is Your Land.” In the original version of Guthrie’s classic, he painted pictures of a desolate, corrupt country, ending each verse with “God blessed America for you and me.”

So. Nothing has changed. I like the song. Guthrie was a singer and composer. Not an absolute authority.

The same as I feel about the Catholics during the Spanish Inquisition who did the same thing. Fanaticism run amok. BTW, there should be a comma after fanatic, not a period. I'm a fanatic about grammar and punctuation. Nobody dies.

I am trying to be current. Don't forget the Prosantant Reformation. It's the thought dear boy, not the punctuations. So would the statement about Islam be correct? Someone might start a reference to you with the letter A.
