Opps 2&3 are duplicates, but all were processed. Some shots were when it was really overcast

I took them in both raw and jpg. Seemed to be sharper images and better color after processing. Not sure if i will use it all the time though. Jpg has really good detail with that lens.

Been following these guys all year. The off color one is the juvenile that was hatched in March. It is just now developing it;s white plumage. They come up to me to be fed, (I am any easy mark) and am rewarded with them allowing me to take pics. I love nature.

Nikon D810

Had to wait for B&H to open. Ordered Big Sig 150-600 Sport for Nikon D810. Have the Tamron and am not overly impressed with it. Will be able to do some comparison shots and see what that shows. This addiction is not getting better. Oh well!!

This hi lites the sad situation in buying photo gear. Unless you live in NY(God forbid) it is exceedingly difficult to find a store you can walk into and fondle a camera. Walmart, Costco and Best Buy don't count. We are left to look at pictures of cameras, read on-line reviews and one click on Amazon. We now eagerly await the truck.

I have been to "B&H" many times. It is 1 hour from me by train. And Penn Station is about 3 blocks from the "Camera Haven".

Are you sure that's not the Tamron 16-300mm lens? That lens is a crop sensor lens. You'll want to get full frame glass for the D810.

I stand corrected. T'was a typo it is the 16-300.

I tried and tried to abstain, but I am weak and caved. The truck will deliver the D810 tomorrow. I will go and shoot some hot rods on Sat and see what the results. I use a new Tamron 17-300 w/ macro. It has now become my walk about lens. Does a fine job.
