Had to wait for B&H to open. Ordered Big Sig 150-600 Sport for Nikon D810. Have the Tamron and am not overly impressed with it. Will be able to do some comparison shots and see what that shows. This addiction is not getting better. Oh well!!

Make sure you get the Dock/software and do a proper calibration ! Also make sure you have good support when shooting at 600mm .

Imagemeister,
This is a little off topic, but I recently got the Sigma 17-70 "C" lens. Do you recommend to doc purchase for all Sigmas? It seems to make sense, but I'm asking anyway. Thanks,
C
PS: The results are great. A nice lens.

MT Shooter made a comparison of the Tamron, Sigma and Nikon. I thought the Nikon won by a slim margin, but that's just me. Hope you like one of them, but if not, there's always Nikon.

Congratulations, it appears to be a fine lens.

I considered it but opted for the 80-400G. Much more portable and I can hand hold it without too much effort.

While the dock is an asset for ALL Sigma lenses accepting it, the longer lenses will certainly benefit the most ie - 200mm and longer.

This will explain some of the docking features - scroll down the page - http://www.lensrentals.com/blog/2013/06/sigma-120-300-f2-8-os-sport-part-1-features-and-optics
