Affinity does not come with a file management system, I use Lightroom for this. I did the Affinity for Windows trial, but found the app lacking many of the features I use in Photoshop and Lightroom. I also found several irritating bugs, all of which were recorded on the Affinity user forum. Over 5000 bugs, queries and problems as yet not addressed. (March 2017) are or were reported in the forum.
Affinity are marketing the software as a direct competitor to Photoshop, but they have a long way to go before it catches up. As it stands, there are some really good features, but I recommend taking the 10 day trial before committing to Affinity as your main editor.

"Whoa. Hold on there." It is true that I use the 24-70 more on my 800E, and not so much on my Df--usually keep short primes on the Df.
But, even without the 800E, I would not give up the 24-70. When I need a solid, sharp, short range zoom, I always grab the 24-70.
Perhaps not, but I think in time, you would regret letting it go.
Fully agree, 24-70 is my best lens it is rare I change it for anything else
I have the D800 fantastic, so the 810 can only be better, you will not be sorry, a camera to last a lifetime.
Any nikon FX lens will be fine.
Added to all the variables above are you both shooting Jpeg or raw? If both Jpeg is the adount of sharpening in camera the same or if RAw are you both PPthe same?
PS Just looked up the original price of a Nikon F5 $3350 , seems camera prices have dropped
In relative terms a Nikon F4 or 5 is equivalent price to a Nikon 750.Yep computers are not cheap but I didnt purchase it just for Photography, and it to is now 10 years old running a 10 year old version of Photoshop, I do not need a dark room, Enlarger, tanks etc for developing and printing , ink jet paper is cheaper than photographic paper and I do not need different hardness grades ( though I do have several different surface ink jet papers, as I would have if I were printing via an enlarger. After all this time I cannot recall the cost of my memory cards, but today via Amazon a top notch card 16 MB, Lexar Professional 16GB 1066x Speed (160MB/s) UDMA 7 CompactFlash Memory Card is just £24. Look at it properly there is very little difference in outlay for a good film or equivalent digital set up, just ongoing costs are higher for film Kodak ultra 36 exposure film at £11.66 a go my 50 photo shoot would have cost me £20 plus add developer, for film and paper you must be bordering £30. So lets talk risingh costs , computers, memory cards, printers all are loads cheaper than just a few years ago. I could i admit change my camera every year, get new computers and newer software, but the results would be hard to justify the expense ( I am talking up to A3plus prints). Once you are set up and digital photography can be a very low cost hobby
