I'm pretty sure that the cloud is different than lower level programs. Last I knew, you were limited on how many times you could install/uninstall/reinstall. With many computer problems and then a new computer I found out the hard way. Even obviously legit and purchased programs get limited.

That method uninstalls the program from your computer but does not deactivate your license with adobe. You can then have troubles reinstalling on another computer.

All the trips I've seen advertised by KEH were for them buying only. Have seen them going to Toronto and Depew NY in my neck of the woods. Always only for them to buy, not sell. Why don't you hang around out front and intercept the sellers. Heard some people did that when Buffalo NY had a gun buyback several years ago. Don't know if you can still get away with that now.

The show is on once a year? and they picked Nikon this time. No other problems in that sewer called China? Don't discount the on going war of words, and possible military involvement, over some disputed islands that are 'owned' by Japan but claimed by China. Even in a communist country, they need to gain some support from the populace for military action.

But some come without batteries and charger, oops there's the up cost.

If they don't come with a battery, charger, manual and strap at the very least you are getting ripped off. Buy some where else.

If you have a small budget, do as some have suggested, look for used. You can find some real bargains. Even consider eBay and take your chances.

I have found that there are few bargains on good cameras on ebay.

I wish to purchase a Nikon 55-300 lens. B&H, Adorama, Amazon have the lens for around $395.

There are distributors on Ebay listing the lens for around $235 to $249 to buy, not bid, a saving of around $160. These distributors list their names as tri-state1, getitdigital, photovideos4less. All state they have better than 99% costumer satisfaction. The prices and the 99% satisfaction is a strong indicators that these may be questionable distributors.

Does anyone have experience with these companies on Ebay? If so, your recommendation would be appreciated. If you have used the lens, and wish to comment, that will be appreciated as well.

If its an ebay buy it now auction or just a fixed price auction, I would worry if the satisfaction rating was BELOW 99%, not if it was above. If it was a sponsored link at the bottom of the page, buyer beware.

I think you have a definition problem when you say that a firewall is the same as an antivirus program. They are not the same thing. Firewall will protect you when you're on the web, but not when you try to open emails or attachments. Having a continuously running firewall like the one from MS and having a single antivirus program running at the same time is perfectly fine. The problem comes when you have more than one antivirus program running all the time. One program always thinks the other is a virus and you end up with a system conflict. I also have Firefox, MS WEB tools, AVG Antivirus running constantly and AVG System tuneup, SuperAntiSpyware, CCcleaner, and MalwareBytes on my system without any conflicts but I activate these programs manually about once a week or so and don't let them run continually. I use the FREE versions of these programs and update them weekly for definitions updates.

I'm not saying an antivirus program is a firewall. Read slowly here: I am saying that at least one antivirus program that I use puts it's own firewall on the system, and thus you will often get a conflict between the antivirus programs installed firewall and windows own installed firewall. And you don't need several antivirus programs installed to get a conflict. I use only one.
A lot of people on here need to learn to read for comprehension, not for what they think someone said.

Wow, all these comments and only a couple of people actually helps the OP. Well I'm going to do the same. Best comment so far? Norton is a hog, haven't used it for years. What?? I've used Norton every year since my Win 95 days and it continues to get better each year Using 360 for the last 4 years. Windows 8.1 is a good OS, you just have to be ready for multi-platform usage. Laptops and desktops are not the only use out there anymore.

Glad you like it. Have used it on and off and have always found it slows whatever computer I used it on. My nephew has also had problems (he is a professional computer tech) as has several of my friends. May be brand specific some say but I have tried it on HP, Compac, and Acer computers. Less than stellar performance on all.

Microsoft is ending XP support soon...

Support is already effectively ended if you have to reinstall for any reason. I tried several months ago and updates would no longer download.

You all might as well get used to win8 and that style of interface. It is a push to the tablet style computer. In the near future desktop and laptop designs will be a thing of the past. Tablet design is here for the long run.

I read an article last week that said all of the major players at Microsoft in the deployment and construction of Win8 have been fired and/or replaced, right up to CEO. Seems to be in part a major reaction to the unpopularity of the OS and may be a signal that this style OS may not in fact be taking over the industry and at least one step back can be expected in the next release (Win9). Just speculation on the authors part, but a very knowledgeable industry writer who makes a living following this stuff may have some clue as to what will happen.
