Who cares this is news we all wanted to hear. - Dave

I care. I read several articles about this from news sources. If everyone posted whatever's of interest to them, we'd be knee deep in non-related articles to wade through to find the photography posts.

What does the topic have to do with photography?

Don't forget how a lens hood makes you look really cool.

Unless you forget and shoot with the hood still reversed.

Andreamosaic is completely free, donated to the world by the developer. It will let you work with (I think) up to 10,000 images.

I'm a hoarder. I already had a Sigma 150-500, Nikon 200-500 and Tamron 150-600 G1, and still bought the Tamron G2 at the same time as my Nikon D850.

I was fortunate that my brick and mortar store had display models of the D850 and the G2 Tammy, so I had the opportunity to try them together.

I won't go into detail about the specs ( you can Google that), but the G1 and G2 are like distant cousins! The G2 is a COMPLETELY redesigned do over. Yes, it's worth the extra cash. My only complaint is that it's f/5.6-6.3, but a faster lens (f/2.8?) would be too heavy to hand hold and way out of my price range.

In Kansas we called them grasshopper pumps.

For me, the second image works as an abstract but in becoming abstract, it no longer delivers your message.

Coincidentally, I just tried rotating a few older shots, and on two of them (I'll share later in the thread), a "slight" tilt makes the composition more interesting, I think. Many thanks for your visit, John!

You made my day! I hadn't considered post processing tilt/crop. I may never shoot straight again.

The name originated with a German movie and seems to be used quite extensively in films. It is called the “Dutch” angle because of a mispronunciation — it is actually the “Deutsch” angle .

Thanks for that, Linda.
But I don't recall ever doing the Deutsch tilt intentionally.
