Hi starlifter,

I'll add my thumbs up to "Elements +" a program add-on that only costs $12.00 (one-time fee) and adds more than 150 functions (if I remember right) to the PS Elements program. One of those add-ons is focus stacking. Here is a link to the website: https://elementsplus.net/. Take care & ...

Hi LCD,

I do a lot of Zoom presentations (fly fishing) using multiple cameras. We've tried many different things and currently, we are using several old smartphones as their camera is usually much better than a 2- or 3-MP webcam. We use a FREE program called Iriun along with our in-office WiFi. First, download the Iriun program to your laptop/desktop computer. When you set it up, be sure to select the 4-camera option on the first setup page (the one where you check the "I read it box" when you never really read all the text. Second, use your smartphone to go to the App Store and download the smartphone version of Iriun. To use: Open the program on your computer then open the App on the smartphone. In about 10 seconds they will communicate with each other and you have a really good webcam. We have four OLD smartphones we use for our Zoom presentations and the only thing we have to "plugin" is the power cord as the main reason the phones were retired was the battery not holding a charge. Good luck. Take care & ...

Hi Base_fiddle,

I use Amazon Print On Demand for books (we've published 15 to date). The books have a high volume of color pictures mixed with text and could easily be used for photo books if you so wish. You'll have to do your own layout and picture editing (it took us a few "test runs" to get the picture editing to produce the best quality pictures from the Amazon equipment). Amazon does not charge for publishing books but does charge for each plus shipping when you want copies. If interested, one of the books we wrote was the ins & outs of publishing on Amazon.Take care & ...

Hi jbmauser,
Hook up the camera using the HDMI cable > the video capture device > USB cable into the computer's port. Turn on Zoom. Turn on your camera then open live view. On the Zoom screen, select the video up-arrow to get the video menu (lower left of the Zoom screen) and select your camera/capture device. You should see what you see on the camera's back screen. Set up your Zoom call then go to live streaming (lower right 3 dots). Tips: Must have a paid Zoom account to live stream to Facebook or YouTube (can't do both); select menu camera setting so the liveview never turns off; recommend getting a AC power adapter for your camera as Zoom/livestreaming eats up the batteries; if you think its important you can get an HD Account with Zoom (expensive). Good luck! Take care & ...

Hi jbmauser,

I don't know what software you are using on your D750. On my D750, I'm using a video capture device. Your HDMI Nikon cable plugs into one end of the device and the other end is a USB plug. I'm using a device with a USB 3.0 connection. They are not expensive. Here is one like mine on eBay -- https://www.ebay.com/itm/193582216387?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item2d126634c3:g:0fUAAOSwadhe5xUu&amdata=enc%3AAQAGAAACkPYe5NmHp%252B2JMhMi7yxGiTJkPrKr5t53CooMSQt2orsSd3M8ngECaRA0SmyU4KT%252FnuoTEXu5QVrBDgfqizoX3VHNAuvUGsnQIcVx1YF1OVxW0zi24HFBjmCRBfe68tbD%252FoPWkUJT6IvOoXf8k5lHPKoIZXzXAvHiQh1lfQMzxC8pFpYmw2cvQXUIMpwNEDq3ScAv%252FwmFvFuEVAW8l79m42j84owndm9vCq%252Ba%252BITVkjdN7VA5mJwqNCIYPZVdO6wEda%252BvQOefGAqgi4uI%252BAnOq1y1M2NO3T37ve6cnLGSkoRP7pbVKQd2mYknHWJz5H%252BFI16WWzKgC9iBemD1g1xBK7Z0azj%252FusRQEfnOluY%252F6HBYIgCyxUWnf29az9rlj6rCLzpOICMlDDZLs6dSYMgb16Z0DJMNo0wofQO%252F8wI%252F8TTQisoeLzGIHHdY6NXy7j3wBT%252BJiUJGnDQ75bM6tC%252FKvDx4dIi1epSHLo3H%252BlNUIU9O%252FqatAxmKub2pdK5d%252B0hHANE%252F5oZULHhTT%252BtlA280uyMDyTvTDhqB4Rdz0MSKJGoQkyIsPl0HPwEsR%252FW9NM4hdcny%252BH26DNQ6Tpj5VZY0fpoO8HodfnhLwUyaX%252F6C64%252BbbycCmWpjco2lrwmJd1q5FFI7YRdYDEfjpok%252BOJsCLC%252FVriySDJX8FLd9FkF9kU41RzC0UCChHeyW5%252BziwArovNXOJ%252B7w9Lb2omSoDKJqpVhwEebxa3kAhMkgULW3LCv%252FezYVaoue8sexoGFVuF5YN8GSfRZJ4BRhN8XUuJJS8lZDzwEZWjte2mxlBT2EQjOvBkqmYaC17g6Y1%252FtiOFTgLHyCrt7xgPGba8uQ1p8%252B796yHbFeNLbGqmR1wDLQMVk%252F%7Campid%3APL_CLK%7Cclp%3A2334524. Hi Urnst,
I'm still using a Nikon Coolpix 995 manufactured in 2001 while I have two other cameras that quit working after only surviving 15 years (or so). It's really hard to tell but you should expect them to work longer than you need if you are prone to GAS! Take care & ...

Hi sumloc,
We use a couple of Nikon D7200 and an 18-400 Tamron stays on our work/field camera. We seldom have to turn to one of our many Nikon lenses and we have all of those you mentioned. The 18-400 is a great every day, get-it-done lens. Take care & ...

Wonderful camera, sounds like you got an even better deal than I did! Keep having fun with it! I have Beaucoup old lenses having been with Nikon since '68!

Hi quixdraw,

I recognized the words "Beaucoup" & "Nikon since '68" in your post. Any chance you were "in country" when you got your first Nikon? That's when I got my first F2. Take care & ...

You tried google, right? Just select / highlight your subject with your mouse, right-click and search in google. You don't even have to add 'camera' to the search. Photography-related posts start at maybe the 2nd or 3rd item down in the search results.

I appreciate your photography-based posts because they are informative no matter which camera platform I/we shoot. Today, I learned something new; I learned I could highlight a word(s) and right-click to go to a Google search. Thanks, this tidbit will same me some time. Take care & ...

Hi Jerry,

We've been using it WITH Zoom for our fly-tying demonstrations and classes that we also stream live to Facebook. It does a great job considering the "amazing price" (free). It handles 3 cameras, multiple still-picture illustrations, text slides, and PowerPoint presentations. The program's hotkey function allows for instant changes from camera to camera and camera to slides/PP, etc. It does a great job but see the next paragraph...

We found "handling" all the stuff we get from it/through OBS comes at an unexpected price as our standard Windows 10 laptop couldn't handle the information flow from OBS to Zoom. We ended up getting a gaming laptop and that handles everything we can push at it and more. Take care & ...

Hi Brent,

As a magazine editor, I used PS (subscription) daily but now moving into semi-retirement I've found PSE with an add-on called Elements+ to give me almost all of the "stuff" I had with the subscription software. The poster before me included the link for Elements +. Go to their website and see what their software adds to PSE. You might be pleasantly surprised like I was. Take care & ...
