New rule for the Pictures section
I updated the Pictures section's rules, and added this clause:

- Please do not edit and re-upload other people's pictures without their explicit permission. In other words, you may not open someone's topic, download an image, edit it (that includes adjusting settings, cropping, adding/removing visual elements, etc.), re-post it, and say "here is a version of your photo that I like better" unless they specifically ask for it.


This goes into effect immediately.
If you mess with other people's photos without them asking, you'll get banned.

Posting Problem
You won't see them in the active topic list right away because the posts in those topics aren't new to you. Other users will see them right away.

Why are post dates not in numerical order?
That's right. All topics are ordered according to the time of the last post in a topic.

=> Leads you to the last post you've read in that topic so you can read new posts.
-> Leads you to the very last post in that topic.

Uploading
Try opening and viewing one of your JPG files using your browser directly on your computer.

If it looks different from how it looks in your editing program, then you need to change some color settings in that program, as it's not displaying colors in a more-or-less standard manner. (This is the most common case.)

If it looks good in your browser when opening locally, then try resizing it down to 600px and upload it to the forum. If the image is smaller than 600px, then the forum won't modify the file in any way.

Creating bookmarks
Nope, there is no way to delete a topic. If a topic doesn't have any replies, then send me a PM and I'll delete it on my end.

But if a topic has replies made by other users, then I would need a good reason to delete it.

Can't import new photo into avitar
Hmm, if it's a JPG file, then it shouldn't matter.

If it's already a JPG, can you try re-saving it as JPG again using some graphics editor?

The image processing library used by this forum can't handle certain varieties of JPG files (I think JPEG2000 is one of them). So re-saving using a regular graphics editor might do the trick.

Saving info posted on forum
You could try using Bookmarks or use My Pages to create a page with a collection of links to threads that interest you.

This.

In addition, original means the file you are uploading isn't modified or processed in any way. It is stored exactly as is. So there aren't any distortions introduced due to resizing or any color palette differences.
