Nikon D7100 using a SD card

The D7100 has a good buffer for a DX Camera but it's not going to compete with the FX Camera for long burst rates.
I used a SD 95 MB/sec card but I only shot 4 or 5 shot bursts in my D5300 with no lag.

I have just started shooting RAW and have discovered that when I'm in burst mode it stalls because the memory card is too slow.
What would be a good card to support these raw shots?
Please keep in mind I cannot afford the 700 dollar cards.

In advance thanks for your help

MooMoo what Camera and Memory Card do you shot with???

If I ever get it to run without giving me a memory error.
Thank you for the compliment. The moons came forward with a touch of clarity in Lightroom 5.7.1
I was more excited about the great red spot. Sky and Telescope gave me the heads up about that transition.

Absolutely the Great Red Spot is really thrilling and pretty well defined too.

I took a few photos out the back door with my new lens today.
All photos were taken at the same setting using a Canon 7D2 camera, on a tripod. Six photos in total, Sigma followed by the Tamron photo.

With your naked eyes which shots Sigma or Tamron shows what you could actually see.

That's a shot to be proud of for sure. So, your camera, do you mount that onto the telescope? And does your telescope follow the stars?

No it's not piggybacked onto the Scope. I removed the scope and made a bracket that fits onto the Drive Unit which tracks nicely.
So the Camera becomes the scope.

What a great series. Love #5 of the trainer.

Thank you Cannoneer, it was taken while an Air Show was going on at the Local Airport just 2 miles from our house.
So I had some good shots here at the flight path turn around.

Great shot of Jupiter. What kind of telescope did you use?

Jim Van Ells
Augusta, GA

Thank you very much Jim, I got the shot of Jupiter using my Meade 8" 2000mm telescope as a Prime Focus straight through the scope with my Camera.
I did some cropping and a little enhancement with Lightroom and Topaz Detail3.

Just one more question. How much did you crop these?

No Cropping of either one.
A little Lightroom and Topaz to sharpen and Noise Reduction.

Cotondog, thank you very much. Yes a lot of shoot and search, shoot and search. When I finally got it in a frame I was pretty excited, my first Comet photo.
