The one with the viewfinder, I really don't care who the manufacturer is.

I like it as being different in a good way. Maybe try a water color filter for another perspective, just a thought. Thanks for sharing Cliff

Another rider checking in here. I prefer #2 becaure of the clear visor and the intensity of his focus in the eyes. TFS Cliff

So, I still want a new camera. What does logic have to do with irrational decisions? Cliff

Thank you for link, usn ret.
Nice pix and admire this sculpyor's work.
There is quite a big demand for street art / sculptures in UK at present , sort of bring art to the masses, and I think this person could make a good living here.

Will check the link when I have time √

Charles, the link is to a facebook page that focuses on ceramic items but it is a place to start... Cliff

Where is Garlock ? I know where Amboy is and I am going there next spring. I drove a semi for years through Amboy on 66.

Garlock is located about 25 miles southwest of Ridgecrest on? The Garlock cutoff also between US395 & US14. Google Maps knows where it is. TFL Cliff

Good photo. Personal opinion: I'd like to see a person standing in the open doorway, leaning against the frame. For me, this would create interest, tell a story, further excite the imagination, etc. ...but it's only an opinion about a photo that already is a fine one.

I don't disagree but, in a ghost towne, people are hard to come by. TFL Cliff

Interesting shots, usn ret.
Those horses look real.
Who's the artist and has he / she done any other sculptures ?
Any links you could post ?

I don't have any info about the artist and there were other very large sculptures at the shop. No links but the shop is located near Half Moon Bay, Ca. I did a little keyboard work and came up with a link to Sun Studios and three more pics. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sun-Studios-Statuary/228602593840646

Caught these guys at a roadside shop. Horses about 15 hands and the T Rex about 5 feet tall. They are strips and sheets of sheet metal cut and hammered into rough shape, then spot welded into place to arrive at their final shapes then allowed to rust. Enjoy TFL Cliff

#2 is a great people photo, is there a story that goes with it? I have gone back for several looks. TFS Cliff

Any one can get great lightning shots but, it takes a real pro to effectively hide the lightning. A very dramatic shot. TFS Cliff

I caught these two on a park table at Half Moon Bay picnic area. Almost looked like they were waiting for me to take the shot as they left shortly thereafter. Enjoy Cliff

Garlock is an abandoned gold mining towne and this is what is left standing, barely. Enjoy Cliff
