A real horse's...
The view never changes unless you are the horse. Great capture. Cliff
what a fabulous picture, please tell me this is HDR and not an unprocessed, right out of the camera photo. If it is right out of the camera then I quit. There is NO way I will ever get this good without tons of processing by a team of 10 people. In other words, nice photo.
Not HDR...edited in LR4...maybe 2-3 minutes spent on the photo...I may have even used a copy (of the editing settings) from a previous photo that was edited. When I edit photos, I usually do 300-400 at a time. No time to spend tons of time editing photos.
Thanks!
Keep in mind, I'm graphic designer who uses these programs on a daily basis, so I know them quite well.
It brings back memories of my grandfather, only he had mules.

So how long is the line around your place, and would you have room for another fly upon the wall to watch you work?
Fantastic picture. One could write quite a story about what the horses might be thinking.
Hey check out those Mares over there........lol

Really wonderful photo, nicely done!
Come to think of it, my wife actually took this shot...normally I take about 90-95% of the photos, and sometimes forget that she had it for part of the day on Saturday.

Wish that were the case :-)
As a point of reference, here's the original shot. It was actually taken from the back of a carriage holding a restless 3 year old boy.

SO, OK, after seeing the original I can now breathe again. I must say though that you did a splendid job on the post production. Thanks for showing.
Mmmmm, I can smell the sweat of the horses, the richness of the old leather, and feel just a hint of an early crisp Autumn breeze on the air in this photo! In case you couldn't tell.....I LOVE it!

I thought that might help
It does not matter if you PP, it's part of a photographer's tool now adays. I think a photographer these days has to PP because comparisons are made with pro photographers outputs SHOWN IN MAGAZINES AND WEB SITES which definitely are PP'd, so we also have to... Delicately as you did.Bravo! GREAT WORK.
