Thank you all.... We have definitely got a Green Heron here. First one I have ever seen in our area, and found him right in town at the lake at the park. YES!

Can anyone identify?

Found this in town today. He was about the size of a small hawk. He was very nervous of anyone getting close to him. I have never seen this bird before and don't even know what to type in to search to find out what he is. Anyone have any ideas?

What do I do Now?

We sat for probably 30 minutes watching a dragonfly tempting a turtle on a log. The turtle was watching it and probably dreaming of a tasty bite. We laughed saying what a great picture it would be if the dragonfly landed on the turtles nose. So we sat with the camera focused on the turtle for a long time just waiting for the magic moment. And it happened. We were so excited to get the picture we hoped for.

Never know what is outside the door.

My husband had gone to take his shower the other night and came back to make sure the door was locked. He picked up the camera and started taking pictures. I thought he had lost his mind at 2 am. But when I went to check, this is what was on our carport wall.... He gave him a slice of bread to eat and he was on his way.
