We are blessed with many honey bees in our yard. We have planted and maintained flowers in our yard. The payoff is Bees!

They favor the Majorana hortensis or Origanum majorana flowers. The tiny flowers are about 1CM across, so the bees must work very hard to get a useable amount of nectar.

D7200, Micro Nikkor 85mm f3.5 DX, tripod.

The last image is a two-image stack. Tried the LR version-but cannot make it work, as yet.

The jpegs do not do these images justice!

What do you think?

Thanx. As bees are declining it warmed my heart to find these guys in such numbers. I took 387 images in about an hour-honey do work.

Outstanding. I can never get good bee images with a tripod. I see I need to try harder.

I use a gimbal set a bit loose. I also get good results with a monopod.
Thanx for viewing.

Gorgeous captures!
Love my D7200, and my D7000.

Nice!! The first two are bumble bees, I think, not honeys.
