has more to do with warranty than specs. For example if you purchased a grey market Nikon, from outside the USA, you would have to ship it back to the purchaser for warranty and or service.

Always carry my camera on business trips to DC. The Jefferson memorial one of the few photo opts in DC with convenient parking. Get a good map, have a plan pack extra cards. Williamsburg Va. about two half hours south of DC if you have time.

Just got back. You will love the photo opts. Rent a 4x4 vehicle. Do not rent from cheap jeeps. Find something at the airport anything else very inconvenient. Iceland Air has some very nice packages on line. Got 4 nights 5 days at the Hilton for $1250,00 non stop out of Newark, NJ. enclosing a couple of photos. Not so much cold as windy. Get a good road map on line before you go. Get one that shows gas stations. Few & far between once you get away from Reykjavik area. Northern Lights a crap shoot. Cloudy skies, lack of solar flares and your ability to get away from the city lights. Try Pinvillear State Park about 40 minutes from Rekjavik, parking & plenty dark at night. Any other questions about Iceland, let me know.

Check Photozone website. Independant, objective, lens evaluations. Usually three pages of test results per lens.

Fed Ex hires a lot of contract employee's for the Holidays. Paid for Fed Ex 3-5 business days. New Canon lens tracked it, on the street for Friday delivery, waited all day, saw on tracking website driver said he tried to deliver, no one home, same thing on Saturday, stayed home all day no delivery. Same story on website, "no one home". It arrived Monday Fed Ex employee stated, contract employees do that all the time. Notified Fed Ex, std e mail sorry for your problems. No refund for being four days late. Will not use them again.

Going to NY with a dream someday I will photograph the NY skyline with the Brooklyn Bridge at night, well that is going to happen next week I will be there......Question what angle lens and exposure would capture that famous shot showing the NY skyline and the bridge from the Brooklyn side? Any suggestions? thanks

1st pic iso 8000 35mm F2.8 1/60th
2nd pic iso 100 15mm f11 1/1000
3rd pic iso 100 50mm f19 1/60th

Parking meters down by the Bridge, you can walk out on a pier and be right on the the river with the entire skyline in front of you. Good luck
