Yes, you got a very rude response to a very simple post. Should you, however, ever need a refrigerator...😉

Excuse me....

I see a topic of Referb (SP!) Nikon D-750, then a post asking a series of questions, that had no mention of any camera. I just figured that the OP forgot something. I am not a mind reader, nor able to read between the lines. I apologize, not trying to be rude. Next time I will add a smilely.

I sincerely thank everyone for their comments, opinions, suggestions, and personal experiences regarding the D7200. I had considered the D7500, ( the extra $150.00 wasn't a real deal breaker), however if I remember correctly, it only has one card slot. I really like the idea that the D7200 has two card slots since it will enable me to separate the types of images that I take. Since stumbling upon the UHH site, I now spend most of my computer time reading many of the posts and building my learning curve. The daily forum is the first thing that I look at when I am enjoying my morning coffee each morning. Thanks again to all!
I sincerely thank everyone for their comments, opi... (show quote)

I too, like the dual mem slots, I have one for NEFs and one for JPGs.

I have that album, also seen them in Penticton B.C. they sang one i never heard on the radio, I'm a high flying eagle and I'll sh- - all over you

In my younger days (much!) I put an FM radio station on the air and was one of the announcers as well. I (we, the station) got in so much trouble for playing 2 songs by Dr. Hook, that are nothing today, but back then...Oh Boy!!

They were "Don't Give A Dose To The One You Love The Most" and "Hey Lady Godiva".

I gotta say one thing about Hook and the Medicine Show, they sure threw 1 hell of a post show party. (One of the perks of MC'ing concerts was we got invited to the parties!)

Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show, from Sloppy Seconds. Great album! Many of their songs were penned by the great (sic) Shel Silverstein. I had the pleasure of MC'ing one of their concerts, many years ago!

While a certain number of everything manufactured have issues, keep in mind that a lot of reported issues are user error. I had a D70 a long time ago. It died, Nikon fixed it, a few months later it died again. You have obviously had good results with the D70s. Go figure!

I shot a D70S for a number of years. Moved up to the D200. Then, my brother gave me his D7000. as he didn't like the camera for what he did, and bought the 7100. (NASCAR photographer) He had lots of problems with the 7100 (Don't know what they were, just he grumbled a lot about them)

Long story short, after the 4th or 5th time he sent it back to Nikon, they upgraded him to the 7200. HE LOVED IT. (BTW, I'm sure the fact he worked for NASCAR played a big part in the free upgrade!)

BTW, the D200 is my backup and long lens camera now. After I got used to it, I really took to the 7000. If the 7000 is at all any kind of 'watermark' for the 7000 series camera, I will probably move up in time, at a minimum to the 7200, even though the wireless capbilities are of no interest to me.

My Dad was a US Army Air Forces test pilot in 1943. He was a test director at Muroc (Now Edwards) for the Army to decide which plane was better for long range bombing, the Boeing B-29 or the proposed Lockheed XB-30. That one never got off the ground, but he still did some extensive flying of the L-249. Everyone loved the speed of the Lockheed, (Reported to be faster than a Mitsubishi Zero!) but the 29 had the load carrying capability. As we all know, the B-29 was selected as the bomber, but on the test team's recommendations, the USAAF signed a contract with Lockheed to build a transport model for them. (C-69 I think it was) Howard Hughes had to give up a few of his to the military from TWA production, but it was a 'handshake' deal, and my Dad and Howard became good friends before my Dad's death in 1951 at the controls of an XB-47 at Edwards.

The 'Connie' is one beautiful airplane and whenever one comes to Reno, I make sure to go down and scope it out. (Specially the twilight lighting of the engines!) Those 18 cylinder round motors could sure throw some fire out the exhausts when starting, and when taking off under full throttle!

Thanks for the memories!

**Tonya page NV ** What? Where??

If you want a dark sky zone in Nevada, go to Great Basin National Park, in Eastern, Central, Nevada. Enter via Baker, Nevada. (Off Highway US50)

What town/city is the source of the light pollution on the right? Your composure of the pollution at the end of the Milky Way arch was perfect!

In my mind, your composition would look great as a whole wall 'image'!

Thanks for sharing!

Joe, I can tell you love to surf even though it's been a while! You and I are different though, I love the color yellow! It takes all kinds eh?!?!?!

Yup...when I moved to the Sierra, I traded in my surfboards for those two smaller sticks called snow skis! Luckily I did, I met my wife skiing! I missed surfing for a long time, and even went back down to Newport to show my kids how to surf. They weren't interested, skiing was more fun to them, so....the boards are stored in my attic, and the closest I get to the sport now-a-days, is the memorials for friends who have left us. I try and make them, but my group of old surfing friends, gets smaller and smaller.

So, it was a pleasant surprise to see your series, as it brought back a flood of memories. One big difference between then and now? The women surfers didn't wear wet suits then, only very tiny bikinis! As a young man, I *did* enjoy that!

Thanks for the trip down memory lane! (You *are* free to upload any more. Specially the ones showing the after-surfing day campfires where we fried up abalone on big steel plates, drinking beer we bought with the money we got from selling the cleaned ab shells to tourists up on old Hiway 101 )

The last one did it for me! Working the curl on a small wave...Much easier on a big wave!

It has been over 50 years since I have done any surfing. I had so much fun 'shooting the curl' with my new Hobie 'short board, back then! A completely different ride from my Velzy big board I used on the big stuff. (10' and up.) My Velzy was a big, stout board with 4" rails and a humongous skeg. Dale made it for me in his Venice, California shop in 1962. Although I didn't go into the water, I was at his memorial at DoHo State Beach Park in 2005..with my board! If you have any images of the gathering, look for the bright yellow board, tail down, nose up, towards the front of the crowd...that was me. Dale insisted the board be yellow, to stand out and be noticed where I took it. It was a true 'big gun' board and he wanted people to know he made it! To this day, I dislike the color yellow! I 'collect' Corvettes and was offered a yellow Z06 for a ridiculous price. I turned it down because of the color. [Thanks Dale! ]
