That camera was my brother's first SLR. He was in the Army at the time (Vietnam era draftee), so it was purchased at a PX. He took pictures in St. Louis (training) and Germany. I had a Canon FT-QL shortly after he purchased his. I still have the Canon.

I'd check if the card's available memory is what would be expected for an empty one. If it is not, it could be that the info is a sub file under the main one.

Having seen a picture of one, a large caterpillar. It had a large eye like coloring on the end. Distraction for birds.

The exception is when the shades of red and green are close to the same values. Then simultaneous contrast kicks in and they look strange.
