Been trying to capture pictures of the Humming Birds that frequent my feeder. Took over 60 shots, this is one of about 5 keepers.
Thanks Bob, I'm a Hoosier myself (Castleton) Thanks for commenting.

5 out of 60, beginners luck - keep at it and you will reach the 3 shots out of 100 the rest of us put up with.
It was actually closer to 3 out of 60, hedged a little bit. I'm human. Thanks for looking.
Thanks Mike, always good to hear from fellow hoggers.
if you can get close enough , try the camera on flash , you get sharp , bright pictures .
Those little beauties are hard to get i have the same problem lol
Not a bad shot, but it seems to be a little blurry. Are you using a tripod? speed is ok.iso a little high. try lowering iso to 1000. good luck!!!
Agillot and redford, I have set up a flash on other occasions and did get better results. This time I shot through an open window with screen. Used long lens to minimize the screen but can't get rid of it 100%. I shoot in manual with tripod, and these were on auto ISO. That usually is good for daylight, but does cause some degredation in quality. Thanks to everyone for posting replies, everyone stay safe in these crazy times. Dan

They are my main goal in summer to capture pictures of them, but like you taken hundreds of pictures for just a few I've kept.
KHILDY, As I mentioned in another reply, I'm an Arizonan who grew up in Indiana. I have a younger brother and family who live in Brownsburg, small world. Stay safe.
