I use LR 6 for processing RAW files from my Canon 5DmIV. I needed to apply an update from Adobe last fall in order for LR to recognize the mIV RAW files. Once the update was applied I have had no problems whatsoever.

Very appealing! I love the high key feel to #3 and the semi-silhouettes of #1.
Thanks, Linda. That means a lot coming from you. I've admired many of the photographs you have posted in the past.
Beautiful set! #2 is my favorite with its great lighting.
Just got back from a trip to central Nebraska to witness the Sandhill Crane migration.
It was a truly awe inspiring experience.
Over 400,000 cranes gather on the Platte river on their way north to various nesting locations.
They fill the fields during the day, then gather on the river sandbars to roost for the evening.
The light was rather low, so these shots are quite noisy. Not the best situation for the m4/3 sensor.
Taken with an Olympus EM-1 mkII and a Leica 100-400mm f4.0-6.3.
My EM5 mkII has served me faithfully without a problem for over 2 years now. So well that I recently purchased an EM1 mkII, which I like even better than the 5.
On the other hand I have had two Canons fail on me. A 40D and a 7D. The 40D is long gone, I still have and use the repaired 7D.
The 40D failure was electronic, the 7D's mechanical shutter failed. Even with this fairly dismal record, I still purchased another Canon DSLR which I also like very much.
I'm sure for every story of a failure, there are a dozen stories of years of problem free use. However, now when I travel I make sure I have a backup along. I was in British Columbia without a backup when the 7D failed. Live and learn.
I chalk it up to luck of the draw. Your having the same problem with two consecutive copies of the same camera seems like particularly bad luck!

Thinking about racing MX.
Wife took these pictures while practicing.
Based on the trails you guys rode on your Super 10's on your Alaska adventure, I don't think you'll have any problems with a MX track on a nice light bike.
Have as much fun as you can while you can!
Beautiful shots, Mike. The mountains are calling!
Here's a few for the bird lovers out there.
Welcome from another Minnesotan!

Nice set. Looks like you went to a good place for bird watching.
Thanks. It is indeed a great spot for bird watching. I am eagerly awaiting spring. This year in particular as I have recently picked up a new long telephoto lens.
I hope to get some nice captures of loons, herons and egrets in particular as they are around all summer. Many different species of waterfowl pass through in early spring as well.

Very enjoyable series. I like your compositions and I like the tree face in number 2! The cattails are cool as is the icy last shot!
Thanks. You've got a good eye to spot the face on the tree!
