I would hope anyone would think about a five grand purchase price....
But a better answer might be that you need to think twice before getting serious about low light sports photography.

I ordered two medium sized prints from this company. Photos were of three women, all dressed in white colored clothing. They came back with a yellowed tint that was very noticeable. White balance was correct on original prints sent in, so had to be a processing problem. Here's the good news. This company stood behind their work and quickly sent corrected replacement prints at no additional charge. The replacements were fine.

That throw-back of water-soaked hair is tougher than one would think! Especially if you''re looking for any kind of rooster tail pattern. Fun game none the less, and to try and take two at a time....BRAVO!

I own the 1Dx Mark II; 1Dx; and 5D Mark III. Although I shoot more than sports, sports photography is the one area that is most likely to put me into a bad weather situation. Given the expense of any one of the camera bodies I use, the additional $200 +\- it takes to purchase a workable rain sleeve (mine is from Think Tank w/ applicable eye piece from B&H), seemed to me to be a good precaution. That said, I have gotten caught in bad weather before and continued to use my 1Dx with the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 and experienced no problems. Nevertheless, check out a number of the rain sleeve gear choices out there. Cheap insurance.

Having had a $2,000 + lens take a tumble into a gravel laden parking lot (Yeah, I know, that could never happen to you), I was overjoyed to see that while my UV filter was shattered, the front glass on my lens wasn't touched. Bottom line: what ever problematic effect a UV filter may have on shots, it's a nonissue for those of us who know that protecting the lens is a good idea. I can always remove the filter if the issue becomes an apparent distraction on final results, but as the responses to this question seem to indicate, not many of us can point out a discernible difference.

If you use Lightroom CC, you should explore the capabilities of the included, Lightroom Mobile. Click the box that synchs your Collection to your mobile device (I use an iPad) and once synced, you can easily create a link to the photographs that can be sent via email or text messages. Note, the resolution of the mass send is fine for mobile devices, but if a print is desired, you should individually send that photo in a larger format...also very easy to do from Lightroom.

Using Lightroom cc, you can create a link that can be shared via email, text message, Facebook, etc. It's very easy. Note: if the photo is going to be printed, you should send it via Lightroom as an individual file in a higher resolution.

I too enjoy the specific choice of station provided by Sat Radio. KEY: NEVER agree to automatic renewals. Strike that language out of renewal forms and place a notation on your renewal check that you physically mail in. (I realize the original post has a lifetime subscription, but for those who read this and do not). Why? Because, as with many such services, to sign up for service is like falling off a log. To cancel a service will take you half a day on hold, speaking with multiple service reps who are trained to NOT let you stop paying them money. While it costs about three additional dollars to invoice your service, you'll be glad you did when the day comes where you want it stopped. You'll also find that an ended subscription prompts an offer to re-up your service for much less money than the jacked up price they try and hit you for at renewal time. MAINTAIN YOUR RIGHT TO SIMPLY WALK AWAY.

At $100 I wish I could give you a more optimistic reply, but I suggest you save a bit more and purchase something worth having. Check the B&H Photography web site. It allows you to search by brand name, specifications, and PRICE. Even if you do not plan a purchase from them, their information and customer reviews on gear is unmatched from what I've seen. Good luck!

Also check out a company, REALLY RIGHT STUFF.
Very expensive, but very good. Never pulled the trigger on a tripod from them, but their ball heads are impressive. These are the models I tend to see most pros using in various instructional videos I watched.

Unless portability is an absolute must, you get more bang for the buck with an iMac. The 27" screen rocks (though you can go smaller) and the post processing process is faster and easier to manage. If laptop is your choice - as much RAM as you can afford. 16 gig will work.
