I have been giving my portraits customers a CD for them self, it would be about a total of 1-25 images,I would like now to upload them via e-mail or etc their images instead of a CD, what would be the easiest way they can have them with out making it a project for them to retrieve the images?

If they're not going to do anything other than view and choose them, why not make a PowerPoint presentation for them? Be sure to number the images so they can let you know which ones they want.
They don't have to have PowerPoint themselves as you can make a kiosk version that runs by itself.

You can use a Web service called dropbox. It is free and allows the sending of large files via internet. It is secure. You would upload the pictures you want to send them, put in there email address and send. Dropbox sends them an email that they have files available to them. They go to dropbox and are able to view and download.

What is the current purpose of the CD. Is that your final product so they can do with it what they want or is it small email size images to place an order?

No, the email that dropbox sends them will have the Web address for them to go to, to retrieve the files.

I believe the limit for the free version is 100mb so depending on the size of each photo that would determine how many photos.

Dropbox free give you 2 Gb of storage space. You could upload the photos, send your client an email for downloading. Once you get a message from Dropbox telling you they have accessed the files, then delete.

Or, as a business, go for a paid Dropbox for 1 Tb of storage is $100/year. You can deduct it as a business expense on your IRS Schedule "C".

Flickr Pro account gives you 1TB storage for $50/yr. You can mark an image private, create a private passworded album (you can set the password and give it to your client in the invitation to view and share the images). The pro account is $50/yr, but you get a $24 annual discount on an Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom subscription, and some other perks.

Amazon Cloud Drive allows you to share albums with specific people, but I am not sure about passwording. It costs $60/yr

Dropbox is great, but it is $100/yr

You've got some options.

I use Flickr, Dropbox, and a Zenfolio Photo Hosting website - depending on the customer.

Dropbox has a free account. I use it all the time to send Autocad drawings to customers.
