That is a valid point. I don't know why he does it.

Very nice. I do think the North East has the best foliage.

The Canon (please note spelling) and Nikon camera bodies do not share a common lens mount. You cannot use the same lens on both cameras. Stick with Nikon as a choice for a new camera.

Did I spell picayune right?? He made a mistake. Lighten up. Do you really think he didn't know how to spell the word? You must be a real joy at a party.

I often visit the canal nearby to take some Autumnal photographs, I was too early though as the trees were mostly still green, but here's a few from my trip for you to view.
Try the downloads for a better image.

Very nice. The second one for me.

That is a very convenient point of view for the conquerors to push. In truth, after the initial military conquest, the churches moved in to finish the job. Perfectly good belief systems, languages, and community groups were steamrolled by the churches in the colonial era.

I think your prejudices do not allow to see that there are a lot of positive things that did happen. I'm sure tribal wars and enslavement of the various people occurred and whereas devastating.

I have $500. put away towards an 850 but having an 810 do I really need the 850? I'm thinking about taking the advise given here at UHH for years and years. Get a better lens. So maybe I will. I'm loving the sigma art lenses.

Sounds like a good decision. I don't know how many people in this forum know of Bryan Peterson. He is a professional photographer. Prolific author. Has a variety of business concerns in the photography environment. I'm sure his knowledge pales in comparison to some in this forum. I am currently reading his book; Understanding Exposure, Fourth edition. On the front cover, he clearly states; How to Shoot Great Photographs with Any Camera. The word....Any.. says a lot. I think you made the right decision.

Let us not forget what the "good" Christian did and still doing to the native people of both North and South American. Which bible do we use?

I think in the long run more harm has been done by the indigenous people to each other.

I'm agreeing with you! A true Christian or Jew would NEVER that. That was my point. I believe that there is G_d, not necessarily a religion, but G_d! Yes, But the American way is Freedom, Unlike Moslem countries, we allow Man to decide the path to G_d. No human here "forces" it. That's the beauty of our nation.

Is G_D the same as GOD???

Good. Let us hope that view is held by someone in higher authority.

Two old churches. The communities they are in have also been abandoned, or are at least very close to having a population of zero.

Both taken at different times with a Canon 6D. 24-105 f/4L Canon Lens.
Thanks for looking. C&C welcome.
