hey photo friends. im looking to buy a camcorder that can do stills as well. wanting to start video taping the grand kids. I don't know where to start. any recommendations on a decent recorder. I prefer one that can record straight to dvd or mini cassette....thanks for your suggestions.

I have a d7000 and use a sigma 17-70 on it most of the time. I want to buy a d610 or d750 soon but don't have any lenses for a full frame camera. I was thinking of buying a sigma 24-70 first to use on my d7000 and then later purchase a full frame body to use it on. I cant afford them both at the same time. is this a good move to getting into full frame? lense then body? thanks in advance for any help on this subject.

does anyone here use speedlight softboxes for portraits? if so what is the best kind? I use shoot through umbrellas right but looking at reviews it seems like the softboxes make a beter photo. any thoughts on that? thanks photo friends.
