As a Professor of Photography, you have missed the point I made in my first comment. All the things you mentioned will help produce better pictures but there is more to being a photographer than producing very nice pictures.
I'm sorry, Paul, but you do come out with some bullshit at times.
Unless the camera can do everything (e.g. Compose, Set Exposure, etc., etc.) automatically, a top of the range camera will not make the person behind it a better photographer. Just MHO.
