Looking on Amazon for a 2 TB portable hard drive to store/backup photo's. Choices are: Seagate Barracuda, Western Digital Elements and Toshiba Canvio Basics. All are in the same basic price range so I'd like to hear from anyone having experience with any of these 3 ...., good, or bad. Thanks!

I do have several Toshiba, 2TB, 3TB and a 4 TB that have all been great. They have been everywhere with me and never a glitch. I also back up to Crashplan.

I belong to a couple of these groups on Facebook. It is fun to see the different photos people put up from all over and share your own.

Figuring out, then reluctantly adapting, until you need to change something after leaving it alone for a couple months.

I have this problem, also. I love the little Sonys, though hard to learn and remember for me. I still use a lot of Nikon gear most of the time.

Great article. My favorite hero from WWII, was my father, a B24 Liberator pilot, who flew the “Perils of Pauline” from England to Germany. He was shot down, and bailed out the bomb door in a tailspin at around 500 ft.... only one other made it out. They were caught and taken to prison camp. General Patton liberated the camp a year later. He never talked about it. I only recently found the details in a history site from England. He passed in 2002 at 81.

I would use my cell phone for photos on the fly - just snapshots. I'd take the 7500 for when you really want a nice shot of worthy landscape or critter. If space is a big issue, you may have to rethink.

There is a program called Smart Photo Editor. The standard version is a stand alone that costs $29.00. It does most anything ok, and has simple tutorials that are easy to see.

Looks like it. Everything I use is updated. I’ll trash the extras. i’ll check out those tutorials.
Thanks, all.

I would backup any catalogs you have on those extras (of LR), before you trash them, just in case you need them.

I just got here, and this just cracked me up!

This link explains how to get your catalog from Elements to LR. I would think that the catalog would still remain in the elements program, also. They both would point to the same photos wherever you have them stored on your computer, or external drive. https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/how-to/elements-upgrade-creative-cloud-photography.html

I have always preferred a separate plug in reader, even though my computers have them. My reasoning is that if for some reason the card gets hung up in the computer, it is harder to extract than from the plug in reader.

I apologize if this has been asked before, but ...

I have various collections of photos. I would like to invite friends to look at them. Some are PowerPoints with music. I do not want to sell them. What is the best way to do this.

I'm not sure about the Powerpoints, though I agree with timcc on the Shutterfly. It is free, easy and people can buy photos is they wish.

The bird's body was too long to be a chickadee. The OP is sweet to offer another prize, and his work is beautiful!
