I apologize if this has been asked before, but ...
I have various collections of photos. I would like to invite friends to look at them. Some are PowerPoints with music. I do not want to sell them. What is the best way to do this.
I use flickr (pro version)
Invite the victims er .. I mean friends over for a luncheon or dinner, then once they are captive waiting for food bring out the photos!
Now of course things have changed no more Luncheon’s due to COVID-19. That of course leaves you with Instagram, or Facebook, or your favorite sharing app, of which there are many, Smugmug, Squarespace, Picular, PortfolioBox, Zenfolio, Google Photos, Flicker, UHH, I’m sure there are more, and of course email. Pick your favorite.
I use email and SmugMug and occasionally Instagram.
It depends on how many you want to share and how large they are.
They don't have to be huge files to be viewed on a computer/tablet/phone.
You can use OneDrive or Drop Box, sending people a link to see them.
I personally use my website, Facebook, and on occasion, OneDrive.

Sounds like you want to put them in a location for them to access and not send individually.
Setup a Facebook account. There you can upload Albums. You can assign who can see the albums, friends, family or both or all.
Since almost everybody is on FB might be the easiest and no cost to you.
I use Flickr Pro as a portfolio to share with anyone.
I have a separate site that I use to sell photos.
Your replies are helpful. Thanks. What I want is to have a site where people who want to do so can see what I posted. I might consider identifying friends I don't want and do the invite to dinner approach.

Dropbox for shared directories of anything. For back and forth, Onedrive.
