Hello all,
part time photographer here, I do get paid for my work but not sure of the definition of "professional".
have been photographing and learning for almost ten years and just recently decided to start a small photography business so I may have more questions in the area of business then photography but always willing to learn something new! Areas I like are family and children portraiture and sometimes photos of Art from artists in the local area for them to use for sales and submissions. I am 80 years young, and started photography at about age 13. I created a small darkroom beneath the basement staircase, and my camera was an Argus C-3. Over the years I went through two Speed Graphics, an RB67 Mamiya, two Rolliflexs, and several
Nikons (the latest being the D-7l00). I have an assortment of lenses for the Nikon, but sold most of my camera collection, enlargers, and darkroom gear in preparation to move into a retirement facility. I was a staff photographer for the Michigan State
Daily News many years ago, and did considerable photography for my career job with a federal law enforcement agency. I am looking forward to this new website!
