I used the Sigma 50-500 with OS I like it for the price!
thank you I was very happy
There were taken at the nest of the SW Florida live eagle cam this morning.
Southwest Florida north of the keys is amazing. Within an hour or 2 drive you can go to different places filled with birds.
There is the Venice Rookery in Venice FL a pair of nesting owls at History Park in Punta Gora and just down the road nesting blue herons. In Sarasota there is Myakka State Park and the Celery Fields. Then driving south near Clewiston is Dinner Island Ranch for so many different kinds of birds from meadlowlarks and Crested cara cara to deer and gators.
rlaugh, what is your favorite place in Florida to shoot pics?
Thank you everyone for the nice comments.
Got this one yesterday morning in North Fort Myers Fl
I shot this in aperture priority F6 iso 640 ( it was a dark day)
at 320mm with a Sigma 50-500 lens at 1/2500 of a sec in and spot metered.....
yes I am still in NH leaving for Florida in the morning.
These eagles hang out near a fish hatchery called Powder Mill in New Durham NH. I was there this morning and they must have gone someplace else for breakfast! As soon as the river is solid they are there most all the time.
loved watching this amazing!!!!
this swan came right over and posed for me
