Was this in Florida or New Hampshire? I see that you spend time in both places. Capturing an eagle such as this has long been on my bucket list and if it were in NH I would certainly hop in the car over the weekend and go "hunting". Great shot.

yes I am still in NH leaving for Florida in the morning.
These eagles hang out near a fish hatchery called Powder Mill in New Durham NH. I was there this morning and they must have gone someplace else for breakfast! As soon as the river is solid they are there most all the time.

I shot this in aperture priority F6 iso 640 ( it was a dark day)
at 320mm with a Sigma 50-500 lens at 1/2500 of a sec in and spot metered.....

Nice shot........ pic looks very good. I'm suprised it came out that good at 1/2500....what camera did you use?
