Look in your "Custom Setting" menu for "Controls", then look for "multi selector center button", "Playback mode", "Zoom On/Off", then select your magnification, recommend 1/1.

You can search and compare your lenses using DXOMARK. DXOMARK gives you the ability to select each lens for comparison, up to three lenses and also the camera body for specifics. Copy and past the entire link below and it will bring you to the lens comparison page. When it comes to lenses I always recommend looking ahead, when possible.

I hope this helps....Dan

Its worth checking in your camera manual. Nikon recommends removing the camera from storage monthly and releasing the shutter to prevent mold and mildew. As far as the memory goes, most modern cameras allow you to back up your custom settings to a memory card. I think my camera lost my custom settings within a couple of days without a battery.

Here is a great article someone posted last week comparing Mirrorless to DSLR and the size and weight.

Not really out of the blue at all as ALL cameras now using XQD write at much faster that the M series 85mbs write speed. They have actually been out of production for several months and had been previously discounted to sell off inventory. Stocks are finally depleting.
Technology is constantly advancing. Just try to buy standard SD cards anymore, they are no more available than XD cards, MMC cards, cassettes or 8 track tapes!

Thanks...I wish I would have know that. I may have bought another one or two.

Its older technology and has been replaced by the G series which write 4X faster.

I know the G series is available, but I don't need that speed and would rather buy the M series. Just surprised because this came out of the blue.

I was looking on B&H earlier and noticed that Sony discontinued the 64GB M series XQD Card. Has anyone heard anything about this or why?

Very nice pictures! A good friend of mine was stationed in Guam and keeps telling me I need to take my camera there.

I agree completing on software vs camera. But, it is important to note LR6 does support the D850 assuming you've applied all the available updates through Dec-2017 and your stand-alone software now reports v6.14. Adobe added D850 RAW support in their 6.13 update.

Maybe I could have been clearer, but I was assuming he has all the updates to the LR6, thus making it compatible with the D850.
