Saw him perform a number of years ago I think it was at the 4 Queens. Really enjoyed him. My wife got her picture taken with his brother. I got my picture taken with the cocktail waitress. Lol
Is there a good all around versatile prime lens?
What is it that makes a lens a "prime lens"?
Curious as to how many if any of you more experienced photographers leave a lens attached to the camera body when you put it away. If so, is there a particular lens you leave attached or just the last one you were using.
Thank you.
Just the other day I downloaded the "Canon connect" free app for Android phones. Following the instructions on the app was able to connect wirelessly to my rebel t6i. Snapped a few quick photos. It worked really well. Have not had a chance to really test it out, but it did work. I would suggest making note of the wifi password the camera assigns.
I am considering the purchase of a small laptop or note book ($200 or less) for tethered shooting. Looking for suggestions and recommendations.
Thank you

Have you taken the best foto you're ever going to take in your lifetime yet?
If not, when do you think you will? Do you know when?
For example, I read all the time here that people have all these old cameras and like to go out and shoot with them.
I don't have a use for old cameras, only the best I can afford!
I haven't taken the best shot I'm going to take yet, and I'll be damned if it's gonna happen while I'm using some crappy old camera.
When I go out to shoot, I go out to take the BEST pics I can possibly get and treat each one like it's going to be my best ever!
So to that end, I always take out the best equipment I have!!
I certainly don't set out to take crappy pics with a Canon 20D or Nikon D70, just cause it is nostalgic for me and it still works!
So when you take the best pic you will get in your lifetime, what will you prefer to shoot it with??? Or have you already taken your best pic ever?!?! LoL

Seems to me (not being argumentative) but when you do take the best picture in your life........it will be with the equipment you took it with. Just saying.
Thank you everyone for your comments. I did get a manual and used it for directions to format the card. The main reason for the initial post was mostly to find out if a new media card needed to be formatted. I don't remember ever having to format the card on my previous camera.... power shot ts3i. Going forward I will format each time I upload photos.
Again thank you all. I have learned so much in my short time on this forum.
I bought a new media card for my new Canon Rebel t6i camera. Does this new card need to be formatted and if so how is that done?
Thank you.
Thank you all for your comments. I did purchase the refurb Canon.
New to photography. Been doing a lot of research the past couple weeks for a camera to upgrade to from my 15 year old Canon Powershot. I had pretty much narrowed it down to the Nikon D5600 24MP CMOS DSLR with 18-55mm VR Lens, 70-300mm (not VR) Lens, Camera Bag, and 32GB SD Card $799.00 and a Canon EOS Rebel T6i 24.2MP Digital SLR Bundle with 18-55mm IS STM Lens, 55-250mm IS STM Lens, 32GB SD Card, and Camera Bag $749.00. Both at Sams Club. (Leaning towards the Canon because of the IS lenses)
I just came across a refurbished Canon EOS Rebel T6i EF-S 18-55mm IS STM & EF-S 55-250mm IS STM lens bundle for $509.99 with a one year warranty.
Are the refurbished cameras worth it? This seems like a very good price especially with the 1 yr warranty.
Wondering what some of you more knowledgable people think,
Thank you
I was thinking "damn, every time I put my coat on it's wet" now the hooks under the spigots makes sense. 😁😁 Great photos.
I see where some cameras will let you use your smart phone as a remote control. I am curious if many of you have done this, and what your thoughts/opinions are.
Thank you.
