A Pair of Blue Birds were checking out this birdhouse to move into
My wife and I publish a community magazine which includes a Precious Pet article each month of neighbors pets. The first two are of a king Charles spaniel that posed beautifully when starring at a doggie treat.
Hello Jordan! Welcome and share some of those new baby picture!
Ashland is just 10 miles north of Richmond. We live half way between the two cities.
One day I hope I get one like that. Outstanding!
Thank you! I looked up Periwinkle and that's it.
I don't know what this flower is called but it is only 1in in width. It was only 3inches off the ground so I reversed the legs on my tripod and hung my camera upside down to get a close shot. It grows wild here in Virginia in the spring on the forest floor.
I hadn't noticed that sb! I had to think about myself for a moment. It dose look backwards but it's because I caught it in the full down stoke of it's wings.
It was 1/640, the f-stop at 11, and ISO on auto since I was sitting in shade and he was in the sun. Vultures wings don't beat as fast as smaller birds so it's easier to catch the detail of their feathers.
Love the early morning light!
Set the camera up with wireless remote and just kept snapping till I got something. Its a lot of fun!
Thanks! It did take a lot of patience. I must have taken over 100 shots to get 5 keepers.
This was my first attempt to capture a butterfly in flight. This was at Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens green house in Richmond Va.where they release hundreds of butterflies to photograph. Quite a challenge as they are very erratic in flight.
A relaxing day at Kings Family winery in Charlottesville Va.
It was on the Virginia Capital bike trail which runs from Jamestown to Richmond Va. Its a 50 mile paved path that is very scenic.
