Superb shots with a gorgeous blue background, here in England we normally have a dingy grey background !

If I am unsure of the exposure, I use my camera's Program mode to record what Nikon thinks is the perfect exposure. I transfer the settings into manual mode using the Mark 1 Brain Memory device, and adjust exposure compensation from there.

That is a very simple but great idea !

You have a nice camera. Don't put a cheapie battery into it.

My sentiments exactly . I've seen a few posts on various sites lately asking the same question. You buy a class camera then try to save a penny putting a possibly dodgy chinese battery in it . Save yourself even more money, sell your camera and find a dodgy p+s on flea-bay for £5 and stick any old crap in it .

You have a top of the range Nikon costing best part of £2000 and you're looking at saving a couple of pounds on a cheap battery? I paid around £800 for my D7200 and have a spare NIKON battery to back up the NIKON battery that came with it. Why pay for quality and back it up with cheapo accessories?
Each to their own I suppose.

Here here , some people look for the slightest thing then moan and complain, it must be their hobby.
They need to lighten up and discover a sense of humour, the miserable b*******

I would highly recommend a AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED from Nikon. I shoot with this lens and get stellar results. The auto focus is very fast and VR helps stop blurred pics. A new one can be had from Nikon for 500 or I see a used one on ebay for 293 which claims to be in perferct condition. You will thank me later.

A great recommendation , I also use one on my D7200 for airshows and motor sport and the occasional wildlife. Great results
