I sent my D750 to Nikon for the shutter recall, and I got it back in about a week. Two days after the camera was returned, I got a letter from Nikon telling me that they had received my camera.

I have one under repair (service advisory for shading issue) as well. According to documents from Nikon on an earlier repair, they do a fairly thorough job of camera checking and cleaning, replacing grip and a few other parts in addition to the shutter replacement. Of course, I have no way of confirming what was done to camera innards. It is refreshing to know that Nikon is owning this problem and taking corrective action at what must be considerable expense despite the inconvenience to its customer base. Let's hope this will be the last recall for the D750.
